Caniks are pretty good I agree, but other manufactures are sometimes iffy especially selling cheaper guns. Do any Turkish companies manufacturer AR-15s?

People ditch Glocks? Glock 19 is like the all around best striker fired pistol in my opinion.
Not all all people, Glocks are respected guns but they come with a bad trigger, plastic sights and their grip angle is odd and the price is 40% or so higher. Canik has built a respectable aftermarket over the past few years and there simple is not much that you can't find for Caniks. Canik will also starts selling their custom pistols made for the Turkish law enforcement in the US market these months. The Canik TP9 SF Mete is smaller than their prior models and better comparable to Glock 19 with its weight and size. And Canik will also start marketing their reddots. There is far less Canik will be missing comparing to Glock than just last year.

This is one persons experience. I am a big fan of Canik as I once wanted to include it in a video game I once attempted to develop. And in the last several years I keep watching Youtube videos of Canik pistols. I made a habit of viewing those videos every month because it is all positive and is like a sprit lifting exercise for me.

I guess we can say, MKE isn't as "Yobaz" engineering and design wise as it use to be..
That's a video from the visit

I should say that I am nicely surprised. We can see different variants of the MPT platform with different barrel lengths, muzzle devices and stock options including the recent upgraded MPT-76 with the name MPT-76MH and Kaan 717. We can see Bora and also the MAM-15 12.7 anti-material rifle showcased. We can also see the MKEK's national PKM influenced MMMT machine gun with a telescopic stock. I am not a fan of that stock design on the machine gun and I am favoring design allowing for additional stabilization with the free hand when it is shot from supported position. Other than that I would really want to see a version of it with collapsing stock and shorter barrel for airborne para-troopers. Other than that I see improvements. We see the MKEK's solution for national Gatling type rotating gun. We can also see new type hand grenade (judging by design a defensive hand grenade). Not bad overall. Good developments but the non-identified beast we talked before is missing there 😈

Not very relevant to the thread but also we can see MKEK's electric powered unmanned M113.

We need civilian support to our small arms industry just like how it is in the US. There should be civilian versions of rifles with the automatic capability disabled. A nation that deeply associates itself with soldiering can not be separated from arms so harshly.

So it was not only me who thinks the M4 style telescopic stock looks weird. PKP PT2 like collapsable and adjustable cheek rest would be much better solution.
