TSK and FSA should have started a operation in Idlib long ago and eliminate those Jihadist groups. The people in Idlib is not in their intertest, they prove it everytime when they interfere in the peace agreements by attacking convoys... They want escalation even though they will get destroyed.

What a mess.

The problem is al nusra and other like minded groups won many of the groups we backed. Seriously we have no choice to dismantle them but we did not we should have. The problem is the russians and its assadist proxy will use it to there advantage to oust the rebels or even try to make us withdraw.

Once the Sochi lines were overrun we had to act. Sochi and astana are all toilet paper agreements. Only language the Russians, Assadists and Iranians know is the language of force.

Our so called allies are all useless s**** we are all on our own on this one.

At izi it izine karıştı İdlib'te.

Everything is so confusing over there. You coudnt distiguish a civilian from the Jihadist. We should have built a common strategy with the Damascus so that we could all go to the East of Euprates river. Regime has food and gas shortages that stop his economy. We should ensure that PKK doesnt have control over the Turkish Border by any means. That also would release the pressure form Idlıb for a time.

You have jihadists, assad, russians, iranians, pkk/ypg and the americans. The whole thing is a clusterfck of epic proportions.

If you mean mess by referring to the "PKK" then yes.

Guess what, assad doesn't like the pkk either so what Turkey has done with the buffer zone is the best that Turkey could've strategically done. Let assad and the russians deal with the rest if they want. Turkey got what was realistically possible: a buffer zone.

Yeap. This the what happens when you cooperate with USA , Saudi Arabia and UAE without an independent foreign policy.

We should do more. We should cooperate with Assad against PKK. That is in our interest in my opinion.

There is no trust in assad to cooperate.

Assad crime family backed lots of terrorist groups against Turkey like pkk, asala, plo.

Lets not forget how they even helped al qaeda and isis. There is even declassifed reports of Bashar al Assad helping Al Qaeda of Iraq.

Everybody in Syria has blood in their hands. Everybody. We should think of our interest first. How do we get rid of PKK? The answer is Damascus regime. Besides ; you only make peace with your enemies. We shouldnt forget that. They need us and we need them. This is textbook win-win situation.

Iran had offered a direct meeting with Assad, imo we should have accepted it and made sure that he was always in the loop, so we didn’t have to do this with only Russia and Iran.

This would definitely inspired more trust on our role.

This whole ordeal could have been avoided if assad did not fire on his own people.

Dont forget how assads security forces tortured a 11 year sunni kid and cut his penis off. Assad crime family are all cowards they cant do anything about golan heights but will take their anger out on their own people.

A lot of these alawites are like this they are all big time secratarians also Anti Turkish. Reyhanli Terrorist attack was done by a Alawite Turk.

A lot of Alawite Turks and Arabs are Anti Turkey. A lot of them live in Hatay the same province claimed by Syria to be theres. If Syria invaded and tried to take Hatay most of these Alawites would help the Assad regime.

I said this once and it pissed off a lot of Turks. Waving Ataturk banners does not mean everybody is nationalistic or patriotic when their colours get exposed when they dont support Turkey and its interests.

We had to Blitzkrieg the North of Syria in the early days of the war, but no we watched and let both ISIS and YPG grow.

ISIS should have been killed immediately, to prevent American plans to legalize and heroize PKK in the Media. Now they have a foothold there and are backed by our ally US of A.

"But Assad clan supported PKK, we have to kill them" is also the false way. Because our own NATO allies supported PKK and yet we still doing exercises with them and cooperating with them.

Nobody in Syria is innocent! Act for your own interests and i doubt that PKK on our border, 5+ million refugees, internal unrest, billions wasted, martyred soldiers is in our countries interest.

I wanna clear 1 thing. I am not on Assad's side. I just dont see other way. We must keep Syria united under the Damascus. Thats what I meant. I know who Assad is but the Jihadists in Idlib are just as bad as Assad as well.

I know I also despise jihadists they single handedly destroyed the PR of every Syrian who is resisting assad.

It was over operation peace spring was the perfect chance to destroy ypg/pkk but nope russia and usa stopped us.

I think supporting Arab tribes that are dissatisfied with YPG/SDF would be an option. Supporting them with arms and air support.

However I think Assad is being pacified by Russia atm as I don't think they want to help him take back too much.
