I have high doubts that russia could overtake us in the electronics sector, let alone in the drone industry.

Mate it is NOT about only Drone tech it self. Never was!
It is about multi platforms created for new concept -> They are -> multi networks + multi sensors + multi platforms working toghther in real time.
This is the power of the tech which Turkiye built with Drones
Russia do not have it and still do not. They just saw what happend in Syria, Libya and Azerbaijan.
It is NEW concept .
It is NEW HIGH TECH.
It is NEW militray type of team working
Which was ignored by russian. But military confilicts showed to them that they loss with all tactics they used with old and even junk russian platforms

Orion -> is Old concept.
Now russians is trying to add new parts.
Some of them even not manufactured from russians i mean foreign and I want to add that if something is NOT yours it is time consuming to undestand and how you will change/reconfigure when you don't created and not understand it??????
Orion is in stage when Turkiye where 10 years ago when Anka or TB2 start to operate
News on media are news but fact is that it is only assumption with no facts
Turkiye platform is Combat proven and sync with other platform to the point that its in Advance LEAGUE

Subsystems are overlooked in public view. It did get more attention with Karabakh War with embargoes/export licenses. Most critical subsystems like mission control computer, flight control system etc. of TB2 are developed and manufactured by Baykar. This capability gaved Baykar ability to develop, improve, integrate their own or ready purchase subsystems without lowering performance of UAV as they know the exact capabilities. Subsystems have to perform very well together. If we didn't had flexibility of national systems especially in critical areas, our UAVs would never been as good or improved for excellent performance. We invested in right areas at right time. It took 20-30 (start of most of our modern projects) years, billions of investment to earn these capabilities. People don't mention this.

Uavera CGT50 VTOL UAV
It is a VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) UAV system with fixed wings that can take off and land vertically, can stay in the air for 6 hours, can carry 5 kg of payload, and has a maximum take-off weight of 55 kg.
Surely this risks exposing the operational technicalities behind the TB2 drone?
The Russians have never be closer to monitoring stations of TB2 then this..........
