That should be a message to every greek, armenian and assyrian.

Nobody cares about thousands years of history. What matters is today not what happened thousands of years.

By the way lands always change and have always been like that ever since humans started killing each other.

Greeks and Armenians use this history argument as entitlement that lands that they once ruled or settled belong to them.

Remember this thinking caused lots of genocides and ethnic cleansing which they deny or justify then have the nerve to cry to the world about the Turks being genocidal monsters.

Seeing as Pakistan has not even recognized Armenia, it disappoints me that Azerbaijan didn't bother thanking Pakistan by buying their weapons. Only until this year they bought some trainer aircraft from Pakistan. I was expecting some Pakistani ATGM and MANPANDS at the least. Perhaps even some battlefield rockets and general ammo buying from Pakistan Ordnance Factories.

I kinda tried to give my view on why Azerbaijan has been keeping a low profile and such. I do not think it is because of ungratefulness, it's just they need to keep quite about things. But we got a turkish saying "bir fincan kahvenin kirk yil hatiri var dir" (A cup of coffee will be remembered for 40 years).

So I expect this, once we grab what we can and insallah we'll succeed in liberating 100% of it or close to it. Azerbaijan will have to rebuild those places and let refugees go back to those places to settle. Pakistan will be remembered and we'll find a way to support Pakistan's development.

Yes but Azerbaijan already has same generation ATGMs and MANPADs that Pakistan exports. Also don't forget that Azerbaijan has to balance Russia with weapon purchases.

I have a bad feeling that Iran will screw Azerbaycan over to gain some leverage in Syria.

Iran isn't interested in Azerbaycan solving their problems, and the same goes for Russia, so they'll team up at some point. They're probably busy negotiating at the moment.

I have hope that Azeri demonstration in Iran will be enough to disrupt and prevent any supply getting across border to Armenia.

Well, I hope IED might be used to thoroughly damage the attempted supply line.

Azerbaijan has a need for better weapons than Pakistan can provide, but that is not the point. The point is thanking Pakistan for not even recognizing armenia. During the '95-'10 period they could've bought Pakistani arms and munitions as a thank you, before the israeli's set foot in Azeri's arms purchase which which pissed off the iranians a lot. The iranians have more than once bitched about that fact and urged the Azeri's to buy iranian weapons instead.

Iran has no choice,after the weapon embargo is over,they will get Russian fighter jets.

Iran is more wested in Russian arms than Chinese as I remember. Also other things, but wouldn't it be a good time to balance out the purchase with some Chinese ?

Russia would have to sell to Iran regardless of support for Armenia as they're in need of money.

Iran recently made a deal with the China they might get Chinese armaments as well.
