I know I'm being armchairgeneralish atm, but this is how thing should go, purely when looking at the economic side of things. Armenia is piss poor compared to Azerbaijan and still they manage to put up a fight.

Why do they barge in a defensive line without any meaningful reconnaissance and arty barrage? Losing 10 vehicles and a stalled push is not worth it.

Where are those top attack munitions? Where are those small israeli drones for scouting and reconnaissance? Where is the UAV directed arty fire on the front?

In 2006 Hezbollah trapped Israeli tanks and armoured. These tanks are easy prey to ATGMs. Before move their armour they should remember the Israeli disaster . It seems, they move aimlessly to become burning coffins.

I think now that Azerbaijan is using different tactics Armenia will no longer be able to put up a fight.

It seems like Turkey's armed drone + EW combo tactic is a game changer for this conflict. It went from two sides that used the same tactics and were similarly armed, to a conflict where one side is using tactics which are impossible to counter.

The places from where the armenians fire their ATGMs and anti-tank guns are well known and in the open. They are fortified positions on a slope that are easily identifiable and targettable. The way you dig them out is by artillery barrage.

This ain't no bushy and forested south Lebanon where you can wheeze around undercover on your quad, but clear open plains.

Tactics alone are not sufficient.

Being similarly armed while outspending them for 15+ years is just awful and reeks of incompetence. They bought a hodgepodge of small amount of arms in all those years and have little to show for. All the while Turkey developed all kinds of military products which they failed to buy for whatever stupid reason there is. Only now after Turkey trained them in the last month and provided them with TB2's, do they have the guts to go on the offensive. Turkey was too nice to Aliyev. They should force him to buy Turkish military products only where possible and have all of their officers trained by Turkey and have their military plans made by Turkey.

If Aliyev doesn't want to, it is time to stir up some unification sentiment among the Azeri's.

I understand we all want this schit show to end quickly. But, there are so many things that Azerbaijan has to weigh up, consider and sacrifice. We also have to remember that Armenia has been waiting and preparing, there are probably thousands of tunnels beneath occupied Azeri land..

Lets hope for the best and support our brethren, cause that's the only thing we are able to do at this time. Not point fingers and say do this do that, that's not what they need.

Armenia without russian permission wasn't able to start fighting. If someone thinks that russians avoiding involving that is wrong. Russian soldiers secure armenian borders.
