Afghan government, Taliban hold talks in Qatar as fighting rages
The negotiators of the Afghan government and the Taliban met in Qatar for talks Saturday as fighting continues in the country amid the withdrawal of...www.dailysabah.com
Would Taliban agree to something a kind to civilian universal laws ruling some cities e.g. Kabul etc. Where Taliban has islamic ruling in rural places ?
What about Taliban venturing into these cities and causing trouble what if its a tribal leader ?
I never said Taliban would side with India, the reality is they would scew Pakistan first,if they would be a problem for India, before that they would be a problem to Pakistan,we can deal with them, you can't.Yeah and today the Taliban are making you run. Keep appeasing yourself that Taliban will side with India.
BBC didn't say specifically that aljajeera report is wrong. You guys run fake news factories and your own allies have exposed you. BBC isn't Pakistan owned LOL Don't get anry now.
BBC made the discovery. What are you smoking? What has Al-Jazeera got anything to do with the BBC source that I posted?
Ad hominen attacks are against forum rules. Stick to the topic. And of course India shares a border with Afghanistan - it's just currently illegally occupied by Pakistan and is known as PoK.LOL another Indian trying to be relevant. You guys don't even share a border with Afghanistan.
Let me clarify this. Republic of Ireland also does not accept the Ulster border with UK but that does not mean we can't live in peace. In fact I personally hope at some point in future the Af-Pak border becomes a soft border where citizens of both countries can move across much like Common Travel Area between UK and Ireland.Does taliban accepts durand line?
Why Nilgiri ?Nilgiri, this contradiction is seen in all powers particularly great powers. Consider US support for Islamist Sunni groups in Syria against the secular Bashar Al Asad. You can call him amny thing but is is stauncly secular and a antichrist to the Islamists yet America is hell bent on throwing him over while actively supporting groups who in fact have lot of convergence with the Taliban. Then they also support the Kurds against Turkey while that country is a fellow NATO member. The contradictions are mind bending.
And then you have US love affair with House of Saud over 7 decades now who are practically the godfather of Islamists. Afghanistan has excuse of poverty but what excuse does KSA have for not allowing women to even drive cars - well till last year? USA at no point cried about female rights in Saudia?
Sorry, my mistake.Why Nilgiri ?
anyway this is a CSBA report , you might want to read it to understand why the US decide to leave Afghanistan to their fate.
basically leaving Afghanistan to be ruled by puritanical movements like the Taliban will reach this objective without having to fire a single bullet in the Pacific.
@Nilgiri , as I said b4, retreat from Afghanistan is a geopolitical master stroke by Biden

You should read the Afghan papers, they even rely on US contractors to fill their planes petrol .Afghans are now accusing the Muslim World of turning a blind eye.
What BS honestly I can safely say majority of Muslims have lost hope in Afghanistan.
Dont blame us for it blame yourselves. You had so many times to build a nation but instead you guys threw it out just for your tribalism and corruption. Afghanistan got sacrificed in the altar of geopolitical struggles. I guess its fate or destiny.
When was the last time afghanistan has been at peace i dont think anybody remembers at all when the country was at peace.
Now they are telling us we got to send money ahh yes charity money that will only be embezzled. So many examples of that happening.
Why just Asia - borders are pretty arbitrary all over the world. There will always be some cultural overlap between border areas - NY/Ontario, Alsace & Lorraine and German-speaking Northern Italy come to mind.Let me clarify this. Republic of Ireland also does not accept the Ulster border with UK but that does not mean we can't live in peace. I know in India you guys love dwelling on this Durand Line being artificial and drawn by British. What you very deceptively ignore is every border in all of South Asia, Middle East going to as far as Turkey were drawn by European powers be they British, Russian or French. Take India. Your western border with Pakistan is Radcliffe Line, your border with China was drawn by British and of course carries the name of the British official who drew the line - McMahon Line.

Indian border with Burma or Myanmar was also drawn by the British. But despite what anbyody says these are now internationally accepted borders.
Going back to Afghanistan the fact is the Kabul regime is a foreign imposed order put in place by US guns. Taliban are indigenious and that is a fact even America has not accepted. Nobody judges or measures Saudia Arabia according to liberal or democractic standards. USA, the West and the entire world is happy in supporting the primitive, misogynist monsters of the House of Saud. In fact they are happy to arm the Saudi's to teeth and even defend them as we saw in first Gulf war. They do this because of their national interest.
Diito Pakistan and Taliban. Yes to be sure there are going to be potential problems because Taliban take over might inspire the Islamists to enforce the same medieval laws in Pakistan. But that is a challange Pakistan will have to face. I believe under the able leadership of PM IK Pakistan will prevail.
This time around we are better placed to handle the storms from Afghanistan -
- border has almost all been fenced
- the FATA districts have been merged and are recieving massive developement funding. PM IK has managed to even finess Khyber Pakhtunkwa and Punjab governments to contribute to a developmemt fund toward erstwhile FATA.
- a able government under PM IK which has at least 4 senior members from FATA or districts neighbouring FATA thus give local 'purchase' to government policy.
- the pace and level of work going on in FATA is amazing. Schools, universties, motorways etc are rolling out fast.
- the number of locals from erstwhile FATA who have made it big is astounding and a role model for the you. From billionaire Peshawar Zalimi owner Javed Afridi, to Shah Afridi the cricketer to Ms Zartaj Gul the list is long.
