S Korea to develop 'Iron Dome'-style defence system

From the article I linked "In Seoul, most bomb shelters have no long-term supplies of food, water, medical kits or gas masks, an official at Seoul Metropolitan Government told Reuters. They can’t be forced to stock up because no public funding is provided, said the official who declined to be...

Introduction Ensuring the strong naval presence and military deterrent of the United States also means guaranteeing that American troops will get the supplies they depend on, no matter where confrontation may arise. As a key provider of surge forces to crisis locations around the world, United...

S Korea to develop 'Iron Dome'-style defence system

You spend your money in more intelligent ways. Seoul has 3200 bunkers but unfortunately, they have been neglected. That money could be used to restock and refurbish them. Also, the possibility of War on the Korean peninsula is pretty small but nothing less South Korea should be prepared.

S Korea to develop 'Iron Dome'-style defence system

I feel like this is a pretty big waste. The sheer amount of artillery pieces North Korea has aimed at Seoul is just staggering and this type of weapons system would need hundreds if not thousands of nodes in order to not get simply overwhelmed.

How to counter the Chinese air denial missile shield.

While the United States and China, rely on each other economically, there are a few flashpoints that while they most likely won't lead to an all-out war, a limited conflict is quite possible in the near future.

China warns US it will be defeated if the two superpowers go to war

Absolutely not. Taiwan's military is set up completely wrong for an effective fight against the PRC. The issues facing the ROC's military are doctrinal. Their armed forces have elected to continue to maintain themselves as a body meant for conventional warfare despite and in spite of their...

China warns US it will be defeated if the two superpowers go to war

China did benefit immensely from Taiwan but also the manufacturing hubs of South Korea and Japan. I would also argue that hong kong played a large role as well too.

China warns US it will be defeated if the two superpowers go to war

I disagree with Russia being a superpower. Its economy is smaller than Canada's and is reliant on exporting oil/natural gas. Modern Russia is living in the shadow of the former soviet union. It punches above its weight in terms of military and Europe uses its natural gas, those factors is what...

China warns US it will be defeated if the two superpowers go to war

Would you consider the U.S. a superpower still? I personally would not. It no longer has the dominance it once had from ~1991-2008. The number power yes but no longer a "super power"

System is key to China's rapid development: Iraqi communist party leader

The Soviet Union's transition to an industrialized nation was a lot more "rough" than China's but hey they got there

System is key to China's rapid development: Iraqi communist party leader

China's rapid rise is truly a historical event unlike any other. However, I disagree that the economic school of socialism is what allowed China to catch up with the world. It was the inherent authoritarianism that socialism offers that allowed the CCP to experiment with capitalistic ideas and...

    India Quad Archive

Sanctioning India for pursuing a Russian missile system is far too irrational. Instead of Sanctioning partners for pursuing a cheaper alternative to the patriot system, the US needs to come up with its own alternatives if it wants to woo partners with smaller wallets.
