Replacement of Ç130 to Ç150 that is another aged platform. I think continuation of the LCT (Ç151 + ) . We may expect an evolved version with UAV integration. Impatient to see what they are going to come up with, a lot has changed since LCT80 was introduced to the service.

Frankly, i won't be surprised to hear replacement of Bey Class as well, those platforms are aged and beyond of being effectively operational. Also like the Ç130-140 these platforms have got a ready to sail crew and no need of training additional sailors.

I believe that will be present in the next block by default. And possibly they are going to utilize stern ramp for towed sonar integration in the first block of I-Class or Ada Class (assuming that it will be removable), while array sonar is already present with Hızır TCMS.

So, as far as I understand, not the Bey Class LSTs, but the 140 class LCTs, which are derivatives of the EDIC class, will be decommissioned in the first stage.

Also as a small , but I think it's a very important detail: With the retirement of the EDIC variant classes, along with the Engin class minehunters, which had a full career in 7 seas, and the Burak class corvettes, there will be no French-origin(design) platforms in the navy. Also If we do not count the TCG Inebolu Tugboat, with the replacement of the ex-OHP Gabya class with national frigates, there will be no US-origin platforms left in the navy.

Since it coincided with TCG Istanbul, it was a bit overshadowed, but TCG Derya is definitely a tremendous ship. She is one of the best examples of her class in the world and will have a very strategic role in the future vision of the Turkish navy. I hope we won't have to wait long for sister ship.

Yes, I was about to say that. From now on Turkish Navy will more and more actually look Turkish.

In the early 2000s, navy enthusiasts used to argue about the German and American school. Some advocated joint business models developed with the Germans, while others found the FMS channel and US aid programs useful. In the post-80s period, platform procurement deals with the French were often transfers of opportunity and were never as powerful as these two lobbies.

Due to the strong cooperation in the 90s and early 2000s and the large number of new platforms, platforms of German origin or with technical support will be in the inventory for a long time, as you know, the Reis class submarines that are still under construction are type-214 variants, but with the production decision for the TF-2000, the Americans will be next. While the position of the Germans (TKMS Lürssen B+V) seems to have been overtaken by the Spanish(Navantia), thanks to years of incredible dedication on the navionics side and weapon systems, foreign dependence on the subsystem basis has already been largely eliminated. The British were actually one of the earliest to see this transition and had been lobbying seriously starting with the Type-45, but no concrete cooperation has been achieved so far.

In the end, yes, we have succeeded in becoming more nationalized, even at the risk of not being able to provide the navy with a main combatant for almost 20 years. We have left behind a difficult stage, and the next step is to quickly transfer this engineering capacity to the naval inventory.

So what is the final word on the FAC design? Is it going to be FAC-55 or something else?
Last time it was a variant of MPAC (actually vice versa, but since MPAC first appeared, better call it that). I don't know about the final version. My expectation is that it will be in the MoD's 2023 annual report.​

In the meantime, Greece is in a position where it has to granted even simple 90-ton patrol boats from the US. The state of Greek shipbuilding is very exemplary. They have lost almost all capacity. Our naval industry opened the gap at the right time. I mean you can't balance it by outsourcing even patrol boats.

I remember of Tubitak's sonobuoy being tested long time ago but not recalling of Aselbuoy. Those could be linked to each other, as well.
Worst case scenario, we have options I guess. This is one area VTOL drones can be really helpful for our navy as sonobuoys are very light, so if we can develop a drone that take of with multiple of them, we can use it to deploy them quickly without risking helicopters.
