Honestly im no longer giving money to diyanet.
Rumours of a local mosque run by diyanet using donations to pay off their local football which is run by them.
Nothing confirmed but since corruption is everywhere I no longer feel the need to help them.
I want my money to go to people who need it.

People who run the football club are apart of the local mosque I would not say the local mosque owns it but the people.

Well we celebrate only new year, the rest are celebrated in schools opened with international agreements that have foreign teachers who have their own holidays. But didn't they also remove evolution? Evolution is literally one of, if not the most important piece of science. A society and education made by science deniers is out of medieval age.

There was a massive criticism in BD when evolution was included in school textbooks last year. Many MPs, important peoples demanded the removal of Evolution theory. Some said, 'as Muslims we are children of Adam not Monkeys'.
Only porblem was, school textbook never said Human evolved from Monkey. I think many older people and conservatives (even the educated ones) don't even understand what the theory of evolution actually says. Hence there is a serious confusion. But who cares, in the end the text book was revised, and Evolution was excluded.
However, it is a sensetive topic given the nature and its potential impact on religious belief. Thus, I do think when teaching Evolution in schools adding contexts & maintaining the sensetivity is important. (Specially for kids and teenagers.)
Evolution is a fact that's so fundamental to our understanding of everything, people should just get over themselves. Imagine a doctor that doesn't understand neuroplasticity and anti biotic resistance, imagine a physicist that refuses thermodynamics, it is that fundamental. Machine learning uses those same mechanisms.

Evolution was first proposed by academics of faith who viewed it as directed by God. The only place where Darwin's theory truly differs is that he cut God out of the equation. As for getting rid of celebrations, way to remove one of the few days in the year where children can be happy at school.

At times I catch myself thinking: oh, how good it is that we have less democracy
Here Europeans elect some populist, and a year later they are disappointed. And again elections. If the head of state works well, then why change him? After all, these poor politicians do not have time to do anything in a year or two.
Well, isn’t it good that we have chosen a leader and he will work for the benefit of the country for 25 years, even 50?! It works great, why change it?!
True, given the level of political culture in our society, we were probably just lucky. Like a lottery, we hit the jackpot
Well, imagine a superpower - a world hegemon, led by a barely alive one, or another - a crazy old man! Imagine and think: does great America deserve such open ridicule of itself?!
