Well we celebrate only new year, the rest are celebrated in schools opened with international agreements that have foreign teachers who have their own holidays. But didn't they also remove evolution? Evolution is literally one of, if not the most important piece of science. A society and education made by science deniers is out of medieval age.

There was a massive criticism in BD when evolution was included in school textbooks last year. Many MPs, important peoples demanded the removal of Evolution theory. Some said, 'as Muslims we are children of Adam not Monkeys'.

Only porblem was, school textbook never said Human evolved from Monkey. I think many older people and conservatives (even the educated ones) don't even understand what the theory of evolution actually says. Hence there is a serious confusion. But who cares, in the end the text book was revised, and Evolution was excluded.


However, it is a sensetive topic given the nature and its potential impact on religious belief. Thus, I do think when teaching Evolution in schools adding contexts & maintaining the sensetivity is important. (Specially for kids and teenagers.)

Evolution is a fact that's so fundamental to our understanding of everything, people should just get over themselves. Imagine a doctor that doesn't understand neuroplasticity and anti biotic resistance, imagine a physicist that refuses thermodynamics, it is that fundamental. Machine learning uses those same mechanisms.
