Retired army generals are idiots everywhere, hardly a topic for this thread. Let's not derail the thread please.

Gen Bakshi is not taken seriously by Indian defence commentator worth any beans...much less the defence establishment.

Dunno where random twitterati pull out he is "close aide to Modi" or whatever else suits their fancy.

He has been missing his head a while now...borrowing some earlier parlance regd drones/missiles here.

He just embarrasses himself once again. He doesn't speak for rest of us.

The media ecosystem of India harnesses this person specifically for his dumb outbursts.

I've seen US and other media do the same incl. against Turkey.

Fox news etc, will bring some "retired general" (seen as relative kook by rest) and then various things are soundbited regd Turkey or whichever other middle eastern country that US has some long term or developing issue with.

Bakshi is just a more senile version of that IMO.

For a pattern, you need a broad number of generals etc even retired ones acting like this guy.

Also folks, take the history chit chat to proper threads.

Don't derail with (complex) pre-nationstate era stuff here.

PAF has access to Indian secure comms. This must be giving sweats to them now.

Looks like IAF hasn't learned its lesson from 2019.
Yes, this is the first thing I noticed. PAF has access to advanced ESM, which can listen to secure communications between IAF fighters. Looks like PAF has EW superiority.

Ther goes the name off what are they calling it? Spectra EW on the Rafale , if Pakistan can listen to ther COMS, what will Turkish Airforce do?
It has nothing to do with Spectra. It is about encrypted UHF/VHF radios. PAF somehow managed to intercept/listen and more importantly DECRYPT those signals or IAF pilots are complete rookies and used open channels while they are on a combat mission.

"Audio recording" presented from one side means default authenticity?

Or harnessing a void on offer to (try) undermine another side with whatever narrative momentum perceived by one?

Has it never happened to the Turks from adversaries? or others?

Which objective authority exists to determine authenticity on these matters when there is no end-end available?

@Zapper @Afif what are your views?

I do not think they are doing rookie mistakes at that level.

Idiots don't become fighter jet pilots, and least of all flying Rafale.

Is it wise to announce that you are able to listen to your adversary?
If it’s a lie meant to confuse your adversary, it may be wise. But if you are actually able to do that, you must be crazy to give away such valuable information for free and help your adversary to fix its communications.

Col. Sofia Qureshi made a press statement today but she didn't have time to go into the fighter jet issue, hopefully she will continue her statement tomorrow.
I am waiting for Pakistan to deny everything they have shared on the fighter jet. After seeing the official statement.
I will accept Pakistani videos as fake and react. I will mock the no name audio recordings. Godzilla is not a human being.

Is it wise to announce that you are able to listen to your adversary?

The Colonel will lie about this too, exposing Pakistan's dirty game. So they won't announce anything to your enemy.

If it is true, there are 2 countries that can provide this capability to Pakistan. China and Turkiye. Other countries like the US won't provide Pakistan with this kind of technology.

Are those analog radios ? Or digital (P25, TETRA, DMR…) ?

A heavy transport plane departing from Pakistan arrived at Tekirdağ Airport and reportedly returned a few hours later. Likely to collect UAVs.

Well, I am gonna need more than the audio itself to be convinced that they actually decrypted Rafale's secure comm.

Psychological warfare seems to a big part of past few days events. Both sides are trying their best (or worse to) to outdo each other.
