AKINCI UAV and HERON in the Air at the Same Time...

▪️The Heron-type UAV, leased by Greece from Israel and having a regional impact range, is flying over the island of Crete.

▪️The AKINCI UAV, belonging to Turkey and having a global impact range, is returning from its mission in Libya, 1,200 kilometers away from Turkey.

Akıncı in the air, Heron in the pan

WOW (Good luck to our smaller adversaries)

K2 KAMİKAZE UAV ✈️🚀
SİVRİSİNEK Intelligent Loitering Munition 🦟🚀

✅ Autonomous Swarm Flight Test

This new loitering munition has been used in Ukraine, I'm pretty sure of it. And it was used well over a year ago I think, I remember seeing the parts after it was shot down or just failed somehow and it had Baykar and some Pakistani parts I think.

"— Autonomous swarm flight.
AI-powered target detection and engagement.
— Operation in GPS-denied environments."

A few months back I mentioned Quadcopter swarms being launched from larger platforms as an effective way of destroying targets across a sprawling area such as an airbase, that would otherwise be difficult to effectively neutralize. We've seen this with the Iran - US/Israel war. Though Iran could target airbases, BMs and Shaheds aren't exactly optimal for targeting dozens of parked aircraft that are spread across such a large area. The Skydagger CEO mentioned that swarms of drones could be released by Baykar's larger platforms. This "AI-powered target detection and engagement" pretty much confirms it.

We first saw it in Syria in 2023 or early 2024 I think. It's been used in Syria, Libya, Kashmir, Ukraine, Somalia, Sahel. Already exported to multiple countries, no less than 6. We don't know much about it.

According to sites like SST it has a range of 1000 km.

The drone's name is Sivrisinek and while it means mosquito in English mosquito is not Sivrisinek's name. There is a well known helicopter brand overseas with the name Mosquito.

Most interesting concept I can think for K2 + Sivrisinek is that K2 can pass the data from it's vision based navigation + more redundant gnss to sivrisineks for ew resilient navigation and more importantly could identify and designate targets for sivrisineks with it's eo system. It would just be like using K2 as a bomb dropper but with way more ammunition than it can carry. In the end it can either return(since it has double the range) or do a kamikaze attack itself

At the SAHA EXPO launch, it will be strategically much more interesting to see how the K2's future launch/take-off techniques will be diversified and to what extent this platform will be 'utilized' by the Turkish Navy on floating platforms.

There must be some unsung hero engines powering the smaller drones coming out recently, I hope we see some of them at the SAHA Expo in the coming weeks.
