just progress with Harimau Hitam and replace those 13s, that will be a step in the right direction

as long as we remain as an unreliable ally (by reliable please refer to Aussie as example), have spotty maintenance and our AF has not evolve to become a professional and tech savvy AF like RAAF or RSAF we can really forget operating F-35

if you mean the draft penal code/RKUHP then it will need no implementing regulation just like what we have now with the current civil code and penal code anyway it is still a draft, lets hope that all the "pasal karet" stuffs got removed from the final draft

and no mention about KFX. I hope the president does not sign this draft Presidential Regulation into an effective one

j just remember the other similar saga, KFX. Our third world armed forces finds it easier to point finger to others than to admit wrong doing from their end. Good for face saving measure as well

Funny that Cavalry is dissatisfied with Black Tiger whereas the tech spec and requirement comes from them. I firmly believe that the only sub par thing in the whole Black Tiger fiasco is the cavalry themselves. Well what can we expect from a third world army anyway.

again money will constantly get drained if (i) a lot of Indonesians still dumb enough to don't give a f*ck about health protocol during this pandemic, as when those dumb people got sick the state will have to pay for their medication, and (ii) if those in the power keep looking for ridiculous...

restructure the manpower size and stop the corruption, then we will have sufficient money to buy big ticket item in significant number. The amount of state loss due to those corruptions and scandals shows that actually we have the money but it just does not go to the right direction

well there's so much you can do anyway before you ran out of ammunition and have to resupply.

i think any tank, light or MBT, will have to reload from outside the vehicle if the ammo stored within the vehicle have been expended. Main difference would be how many ammo can be carried within and that I believe relates to the overall dimension of the vehicle itself

they can't standardize on 57 mm, can't standardize on 76 mm and can't even standardize on 20 mm and 30 mm. hope the admirals' lexus and crowns and land cruisers can serve as projectile to strike any would be enemies' vessels in future war

feels like just another effort to provide position for jobless officers. Good to have plan but honestly just be able to have an A2/AD is already a quantum leap from the vshorad/S-60 air defence that has been the highlight of our air defence for decades

CAATSA is not an agreement, it is a set of regulation issued by the USA that has extra judicial consequences.

reading the above and then the following article: https://www.defensenews.com/global/asia-pacific/2021/05/10/whats-impeding-indonesias-military-ambitions/ have to say the the defensenews' article is spot on, particularly on the part of "lack of adherence to its long term vision"

realistically speaking F-15EX can come to Indonesia (if we really buy that thing) after USAF declared IOC. If suddenly some eagle with pentagon roundel comes operational in TNI AU before USAF declares IOC for eagle EX, we can be suspicious that those eagles come from certain base in the Arizona...

Well, Indonesia is (to some degree) a shit hole, but PNG is an even bigger and dirtier shit hole. It makes Indonesia like a Japanese made shit hole (with all the bells and whistles) by comparison wkwkwk.

the statement in the attached document just shows the lack of understanding from our end. There's nothing instant in developing a jet fighter, the prototype is just the beginning, there are many more testings ahead. Testing that cannot be performed properly within the expected timeline if we...

that AAROFEX still appear like this is a WW2 era navy. Hopefully the reality of 21st century naval warfare will be embraced by our navy at the soonest
