Anka 3 tanker makes sense for refueling other Anka 3. I did the math for both going a certain way before, refueling one and tanker returning back first, then both second. Main one should I think have 2/3 tank extra fuel when second one has to rbt given external tank is one full internal anka 3 size.

You also need to take into account the tanker has to fuel Kaan and make it back itself. And tankers usually refuel multiple times, but lets say even 1 tank full is useful. Regardless, the tanker needs to be many times heavier.

240 Kaan, still 200 F16, several hundred drones of various kinds. I mean it is a huge sum of money, but also a formidable force. My one hope is Kaan may require fewer additional planes to operate by virtue of being so big, like tanker, awacs and jammer for basic missions.

Well yes but if you build 250 of them you still have to maintain them and hit certain flight hours for every pilot annually. About 200 is good and I think we were down do 150 hours few years back.

Think like this, fuel cost of 250 KAAN alone is 2 times that of 250 F16

Those calculations are too old and both KAAN and F35 would end up being way more expensive and difficult to operate than imagined.

The decision to keep 16 VLS might mean they are more confident with Sapan block 2 quadpack. But I think even with that it might be worth considering additional launchers, based on Göksur missiles etc. I don't think 3rd set of Istif makes too much sense without modification

Yes I mean the idea was only first 3 would use foreign engine but it seems first 20 will go same way

I think this means they decided to procude more with the foreign engine then for initial batch

TAI will continue making KAAN :) All it means is funding continues coming and scope is becoming more defined
