That makes sense. I wasn't talking about selling it to NATO anyway but more like "we are developing NATO capability" sense. Like Kara Atmaca and Aselsan radar deal announcement. Do we gain anything from funding this or just brownie points?

Maybe it has something to do with Alp-200A agreement with Aselsan signed last idef. That is an air early warning radar after all and these announcment seems very vague. I doubt we would buy Saab Globaleye

IMHO hitting a drifting 7/12 meters long boat is enough to call it a moving target. To hit a 7 meter target which is speeding you would need a precision in the class of MAM-L. And even then you are almost always firing 2 mam-Ls to hit a USV just to make sure, like it was done at last 2 Naval...

Yeah but they are also quite hard to control and have weird blast patterns. It you start equipping your soldiers with better counter measures you force the pilots to fly more finicky paths increasing the chance of the fpv missing its target or failling to correctly detonate. So it is beneficial...
