RBE2 in its current form were falling behind from its competitor, RBE2 basically an old radar develop in the end of 90s/early 2000 using that era tech, while thales got more experience in radar, hanwa radar is newer and they got time to perfect it till the jet come in service in 2028.

for F-35 well its too early for us to operate that, our C2 infrastructure is lacking so does our support plane, if we don't sort out the infrastructure and support needed then the jet basically flying half blind.
it also need to connect to US F-35 server to operate it, if not then it cannot fly...
if there's a civil war going to happen (hopefully not), it must be contain in myanmar only and not be a domino effect, the last thing we need other region around SEA got the same idea and started fighting against their government (even though it very unlikely, but we must not take any chance)...
