The twitter account look like coming from specialized maritime media, journalist in that media I believe has good and credible sources inside Navy.
Doesn't change the fact that it still hasn't confirmed by the TNI-AL yet.

It reminds me of any news about accident or missing planes or ship in this country. There were always other sources who claimed such and such, creating from false hope to even more despair. While some might be born out of good intention, but the result is still the same: creating unnecessary confusion.

That's the last thing the public need.

Yup, buying submarine rescue vessel should be a must, no need to wait for this one. I think this is a lesson we should take seriously.

Sorry if it's inappropriate to ask right now but why didn't IN buy a submarine rescue vessel before, while it's upgrading the sub fleet?

I believe it's already in for the next procurement plan.

We've only started to receive our newer subs 10 years ago when KRI Nagapasa (403) entered TNI-AL service in 2011. At the time, the priority was still to add more submarines to reinforce two which have been comissioned since early 1980's.

This incident only shows not only that we still need more submarines, but we also desperately need submarine rescue vessels as well.

I hope everything will be fine. Isn't there a possibility where friendly nation's submarine rescue vessel can be used in that situation?

Hoping for the best.

Just pointing out, if you give some keywords to news makers, they make news stories based off them.
They have used black-out , static-dive as keywords and make a whole story.

The point is, emergency button- which is actually the trigger of emergency blow tank, is not bound to electricity and can be manually turned on.
Also emergency buoys etc is not bound to electricity as well.

All of what were written on that article were based on Indonesian Navy (officially/unofficially) statements.

I'm in the low confident level the crews are still alive (biologically, doesn't mean to be bad. They alive always in honor). Hope I'm wrong and our wishes are working.

Kadispenal already refute this information.
(Kompas Live Report)
have Dispenal released the exact location of 402 ?

All public media didnt event state where the exact location of the boat. This make worrisome since survace vessel with hull mounted sonar over searching area didnt yet manage to locate 402.

No. The only thing they established was search area based on oil spill.
