Making the TF-35000 as a ‘’usable’’ engine means cutting corners. You don’t do those kind of things on a plane like the Kaan, which is supposed to be the pinnacle of Turkish aeronautical manufacturing. On an unmanned plane why not, but not on Kaan. Pretty sure the Air force wouldn’t want it either.
I know that there is a range limitation, but for Shaheds specifically, it wouldn’t matter. I don’t think that we can shoot Shaheds 100 of Km away anyway.
What about Sungur ? I think Sungur would be more suitable for threats like the Shahed drones. A small pod with Sungurs doesn’t weight that much and can be installed on every UCAV we have, and would be still cheaper than Eren.
Yeah for sure but it’s not like the Iranians can decide for themselves under this regime. And if we do nothing we will be in the same situation in Turkiye too.
You would be right if the current administration would be competent and corruption free. But unfortunately, it is not the case. The current government doesn’t care about the country, what they care about is short term profit for their own pocket and propaganda purposes. The Navy is in desperate...
Yeah, the good question would be to know if this IIR MAM-L can reach those ranges if launched from a standard TB-2, or if it’s only launched from more powerful plateforms, such as the Akinci and Aksungur ?
Some members should stop spreading ridiculous claims such as Israel wants to conquer Turkish land and shit like that. Yeah for sure buddy, Israel wants to conquer a NATO country with a population of 90 million people. Good luck with that.
You’re right, an aircraft can supercruise, but what about a fully loaded Anka-3 with one TF-10000 ? Do you think it can realistically supercruise or will it need it’s afterburner ?
When some of our officials says that they are developing a supersonic flying wing, I feel like they don’t know what they’re talking about. Either that, or they say it for propaganda purposes. When I hear flying wing, the first things that comes to my mind are stealth and range. If for some...
