We will only get 14 engines for 925/929 if that. And those are already for Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry which ordered 8 925 for firefighting. And even if there were extras those would go to Anadolu. In the end, worse case scenario will happen, we will have only 38 blackhawks and license...
Exported missile engines are range limited due to MTCR. They prevent you from going over 300km even if you have fuel left. Fuel efficiency is not the only issue.
We have to hurry up MURAD and supplement the Air force with Siper, Drones and other land based systems until KAAN. That's the only realistic path for us. Drones can do most A2G missions, Anka 3 when it's ready can do ground missions even KAAN won't be doing. SAM systems are very effective...
That's what I see from current visuals. But he is saying these are subject to change for next prototype. What I hope is TFX carries a good amount more fuel than originally envisioned.
Dream responsibly :D What is and isn’t feasible is difficult to guess but quadpack Siper B2 won’t fit. We will see how long it takes to quadpack hisar first.
I hope with the manned unmanned team and loyal wingman concepts, aerospace companies will improve usability of interfaces and autonomy of manned fighters to the point pilot no longer has to engage with throttle and stick and instead can focus on weapons and mission systems. I mean what stops any...
Isn't TF6000 and even preliminary work being done by TEI for TF35000 made by their initiative and their own resources because of SSB's continued indecisiveness?
I did a very rough measuring and found 85cm for width of single F22 weapons bay which fits 3 AMRAAM 120C. So I don't know about Gökdoğan size but if 160cm is right we could put 5-6 in one weapons bay.
It feels to me KAAN will have a very significant payload, like carrying Bozdoğans *and* Amraams while also carrying Som-J. That bay looks like it was meant for Som-J. If it can carry total 10-12 AA missiles in pure AA config that would be neat (side bays included)
If we want to operate proper aircraft carrier in the future, naval Hürjet would be worth more as a trainer and stepping stone to build experience towards that goal. I can't see us building a carrier and proper fighter for it in less than 20 years earliest and at this point it would be...
Actually I should expand: a pipeline consists of several different stages during development of a new product. These stages require different resources. Pipelining is when you have multiple products and in parallel and you have different stages of products running in parallel so as to not have...
