A plane landing on a short strip needs to be able to fly slowly, generally speaking. A fast plane may not be able to slow down enough to land on the short strip. I am guessing.
Hopefully there wont be much time between the subsonic model and the supersonic one of the MIUS.
I guess the subsonic model should be the carrier capable one while the supersonic model lands on land.
As long as money flows in the projects and payload customers can be found it can happen in a timely manner. It will depend on military satellite projects which can not be outsourced to foreign launchers as well as civilian customers.
Turkey is transitioning from a defensive position to a proactive position. The tools in our hands are not perfect yet but given the situation the leadership is doing brilliantly, despite all the challenges
There is no such thing as disrupting everything from military to economy to diplomacy to geopolitics and still being on the best of terms with counterparts.
Şimşek II is announced the first time and it marks the phase when Turkey can be a player in space launch of satellites, space probes and cargo to space stations. I wonder what the timeframe will be for it.
Pakistan has some advantages as a country but its geographic location is far from ideal for space launch. While Somalia has the best location it lacks other requirements for a spaceport. A launch ship that can be relocated would be ideal to take advantage of ideal geographic locations and...
A kill switch to stop operation is good enough. Measures against reverse engineering is another matter. Very few nations can benefit from reverse engineering.
1000 km is a respectable range however %40 percent longer range maybe attainable by using a turbofan instead of a turbojet (depending on the bypass ratio of the engine). You can only make a turbofan engine once you have mastered the turbojet.
ARAT is a turbojet, Gezgin was supposed to be powered by a turbofan. So it is likely that ARAT is like a matured version of KTJ-3200. This simply means longer range. Still not the turbofan for Gezgin. Gezgin's engine will likely come from Ukraine until a Turkish maker makes a new one.

Turkish builders' market is probably large enough to start a national marine turbine engine program. Our industry needs to act faster, perhaps needs some push from higher levels.
I think rooftops will barely provide enough PV energy for use of the house and will not have excess to feed the grid. Also Tesla Powerwall type inhouse storage can be more viable as they eliminate transfer losses. Batteries for Powerwalls can be salvaged from used car batteries.
There are incentives to use rooftops for PV panels and house refitting sector like greenhouse makers / glazers ar considering going into PV application business. Some one I know is planning to do so.
