My argument wasn't that this test is enough to admit it to the inventory but rather that there is nothing "misleading" about calling this test a moving target test. Of course you would also need to test it against a manuevering real size warship. The thing I was emphasizing is that this test...
IMHO hitting a drifting 7/12 meters long boat is enough to call it a moving target. To hit a 7 meter target which is speeding you would need a precision in the class of MAM-L. And even then you are almost always firing 2 mam-Ls to hit a USV just to make sure, like it was done at last 2 Naval...
Sudanese Akıncı footage showing the interception of RSF operated FH-95. Initial announcement was that it was shot down by an AD but sparks in the edge of the view at the start and missiles angle seems consistent with Eren launch fro Akıncı.
If we had air superiority to drop 1700 MK84's in 3 days against Greece or Israel the war would be over by the fourth day. I agree that production should be increased but amount of air to surface bombs would definitely not be our main bottleneck in any peer to peer fight
First Hisar A launcher and more İHTAR C-uas systems to Air force plus new ALP-300G to land forces (should be third AFAIK).
Overall very good week in terms of Air defense deliveries. Only thing missing is a HİSAR-O delivery
How are we planning to receive Patriots in a reasonable timeframe when even the European countries with long standing orders can't receive their orders?
Yeah but they are also quite hard to control and have weird blast patterns. It you start equipping your soldiers with better counter measures you force the pilots to fly more finicky paths increasing the chance of the fpv missing its target or failling to correctly detonate. So it is beneficial...
With both of them being obviously beneficial I would prefer prioritizing launch platform variety rather than seeker variety. UAV launching is fine there is many other platforms that would experience a capability leap with integration of a cheap 250 km range missile. For example USV's would have...
New Tayfun block-2 deliveries to the army. It seems that Tayfun production is going without a hitch. I am more worried about Çakır and Kara Atamca. They were also announced as delivered in Roketsan Ceremony bur we didn't get a delivery confirmation from the army unlike Tayfun as far as I know.
Some interesting details on this specific design from tolga Özbek's interview:
- they saw that most of the ramjet designs were air launched and there wad a lack of surface launched variants
- it took them couple months to go from concept design to live firing in the air in couple months
- Since...
Skydagger signed a MOU with L3Harris to integrate Hunter C-UAS interceptors to the Vampire AD system.
Pretty big deal when there is so many American and European/Ukrainian start-ups developing similar systems. We should probably start working on integrating similar systems to all AD assets...
Do we have any idea how many will be delivered in the first batch? 2 were flying already but there were also 4 that was in the production line already so they soule should be complete or near-complete by now

He also says that all of Reis Class submarines will likely be delivered in 2027, with the last one maybe completing acceptance test in the first quarter of 2028. Which is a lot faster than I expected
