From what I gathered from journalists reporting in Brussel, is that the EU really wants to massively help. Of course all of that is just empty promises until something is actually done. But the statement is a very positive one. We'll see in the upcoming weeks and months. I also dont share...

Looks like the EU is all in on reconstruction in the earthquake regions: https://ec.europa.eu/commission/commissioners/2019-2024/varhelyi/announcements/commissioner-oliver-varhelyi-ankara-turkiye-joint-press-conference-he-mevlut-cavusoglu-minister_en This is way beyond what one would have...

I've been buying Turkish white goods for a decade now, but I hope that one day they can get rid of all the Telefunken's and Grundigs and just rebrand them as Beko or whatever is their best performing brand + 1-2 low-cost brands and stick with it. Otherwise, its just watering down their core...

Well we should demand and sue for our money back adjusted for inflation, interest and consider if there are any fines for contract breach that can be applied. But the US-LM contracts are probably watertight.

The UAE has hired many capable engineers. Don't do to others what you don't want to happen to you and your countries news and developments. Quit trash talking other countries developments, you know. At least try to be nice to each other from time to time.

I'll respond here, since it does not belong in the earthquake thread. 1.) I was mocking the stupid statement by the quoted user. 2.) It's a fact, dont be offended about facts. 3.) Dont question my loyalty, simply for stating that things can be better. I want what I have for everyone in...

Understandable. We're not a rich country, we dont have unlimited funds. Hospitality has to have limits too. Might even add a recommendation/advice to move to their families in Syria, if they are in the nowadays peaceful and secure areas of Syria. Germany is taking in refugees from Syria on 3...

Unfortunately, the rescued people have a pretty high mortality rate in the next 48h after rescue. Watched a report of the German rescue team and the lady they saved that sadly died shortly after.
