A decade ago or so Hyundai Rotem was supposed to locally Co develop high speeds trains in Turkey. But I guess that deal never sent through.

Dont be like that, best days are yet to come.

Government funded Intellectual property and R&D should not be given out for free to non government companies. We should not encourage companies to neglect their own R&D. I hope TÜBITAK at least earns some patent / license fees to fund further development in these kinds of deals.

My 2cents: Iran has their proxies with or without the sanctions. Iran with or without sanctions is not really a threat for Turkey. However economically speaking, lifting the sanctions with help cross border trade and benefit both countries. What happens every time the sanctions against Iran...

I am not so familar with Spains economy, but they had invested a lot in renewable energy which might come handy now. Also Turkey is still stuck with many expensive take it or leave it gas contracts that are very expensive.

I saw this being posted on the internet. If there's one thing we have learned in the Ukraine war, it's that time to deployment and how fast you can scoot away can make a big difference against opponents with equal-ish artillery and with counter battery radars are very important. So my question...

This was always my favourite option, but was never really considered AFAIK: https://www.defensenews.com/global/europe/2017/02/08/new-terms-offered-for-a-turkish-meads-missile-defense-system/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium_Extended_Air_Defense_System

1m per SOM seems high to me, what do comparable cruise missiles cost? Could that be the export price and the Turkish forces get other conditions?

No dehumanizing, some minimal respect is required even for your opponents.

Not really multimedia, but for a lack of better threads I'll post it here: https://www.dailysabah.com/politics/turkiye-appoints-1st-female-general-to-serve-in-army/news

Watch your tongues, it is possible to criticize Syria, the SNA, Assad, Arabs, Saudis etc without calling an entire race savages or inuman.

Guys, let's focus on the topic.
