I think I understand more now. It is probably an application of blisk to military use for F-16 engines (if say some of these were non-blisk ) that Turkey has extended into...and probably what impressed the army attache. Single crystal is something else, thats the turbine side of things. Blisk...

— "Namaskar, Prime Minister @/narendramodi Brazil feels honoured to have a great partner to overcome a global obstacle by joining efforts. Thank you for assisting us with the vaccines exports from India to Brazil. Dhanyavaad! धनयवाद"

Not sure what he means by that (or the exact words) as my company (PW) and rolls royce does that (blisk manufacture) and I would imagine Snecma and some others too. But the achievement for Turkey is notable one, I would imagine GE was attracted to go for JV with TEI earlier for this very...

I think we have discussed this before somewhere. GDP is overrated especially for some countries (that use a lax data dissemination standard) on top. Vietnam is one of them. Hopefully it will join the SDDS standard at some point in near future...to help with the reliability here....so we don't...

Sticking to production side purely, I dont know anything about CSIO. But BEL does. There is lot of correct stuff you have said in your replies about the failure in India (give size and potential) regarding commercial scaling for VLSI and electronics in general. That makes a large conversation...

How and where did this Bernie sitting one start recently? Genuinely curious.

Would appreciate it.

You should see what it takes for some stuff to get "space qualified" sheesh (here in Canada, US etc). There is reason so much is from heritage era (both system and process) stuck there....though they do do the job (nothing big wrong with them its just it got leg in the door and qualified first...

Full presentation with the OP pic (at end). More concept art:

There is something on offer w.r.t Taiwan and India can definitely explore it. But Indian foreign policy must not be based on irrational let me hurt you/annoy you/gotcha simply for some kind of revenge....and go all in at great cost with a small country like Taiwan (which Taiwan is itself not...

Thermal gradient is largely mitigated by time it reaches engine bay itself by a few different ways. There is active cooling with bleed air (allowed to flow around the casing)...a blanket of cooler air basically. This is done in various ways but they all help to drastically reduce any direct...

He just seems to describe PRC (from his perspective) mostly. If the prescription is "long view" and "Taiwan"...I would ask him if the divide is so severe between Taiwan and PRC, why the massive investments the former did in the latter (over an extended period of time consciously)? Is Taiwan...

Generally for casing, there is more thermal gradient considerations (and impact resistance consideration) to consider above the stress handling itself, depending on the location along the jet engine (cold vs hot may broadly change what you decide to use). So for example since the compressor...

Common in Singapore too, in fact majority of population lives in "HDB"....i.e public housing (but very high quality and subsidised + mortgage intervened by govt). Sign of a well run country imo.

It is the public utility argument I made earlier. We generally recognise the arguments for monopolies in the field of public utility....be they public or private owned. i.e think of piped water, electricity and sanitation....it would be odd (and grossly inefficient/wasteful) to have dozens of...

How many feto schools operate in US?

Enjoying view? :D

Aluminum 7075, 7085 (7xxx in general actually) is quite proven (strength, toughness etc) and offers large scope of (relative) economical machinability...along with (relative) low weight. Spot on. No question mark needed, it will be very valid option for Turkey to consider right away (in fact...

*This* is the ohverlohd tank.
