This new star wars stuff, constantly tries to provide filler bridge material and it ruins parts of the canon IMO.

Vader is very specific (in a New Hope) in saying "I've been waiting for you Obi Wan.....We meet again at last, the circle is NOW complete, when I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master"....

i.e its their first meeting since their parting of ways.

I didn't hear great stuff so far about this new series in general as well....maybe much later I'll give it a try.

But tell me what you think of it after you seen it @Quasar et al.

Among so many disasters there were a few good attempts as well, most importantly Star War Rebels which became a part of canon. Rogue One and Mandalorian was kind of fun especially the last episode of Mandalorian in which they restore the honor of Luke.

And I agree at first Vader Obi Wan encounter in episode 6 seems something against canon but guess I cant also say it is certainly against canon. after oder 66 and jedi hunt with inquistors and Vader befor ''A new Hope'' an encounter with Obi Wan is almost inevitable and unavoidable. in episode 6 Vader still calls Obi Wan a master. For Vader to be a master he needs an apprentice and at this point Vader has no apprentice until Star killer.

No, people who organize under the leadership of a man and reject the laws of their country are dangerous, such cult should be forbidden and crushed.
They live in Republic of Türkiye, its laws a secular, accept it or leave, there are enough sharia ruled countries, Turks dont want that kind of stuff.
We have seen what gülen cult has done, we dont need that anymore.

I suppose it is the Canadian in me, but should you not have freedom of relgion/conciousness? When you speak of being secular, and having secular laws there are different models of that, the Laicist approach is but one and is borne out of a very specific cultural context: that of the Catholic Church which was essentially a co-governing force prior to its suppression. There really is no Muslim parallel to such an institution, and the german, english, scandinavian approach to poltical secularity is much more appropriate for a Muslim country as it is more universally applicable.

I am personally of the opinion, though this may not sit well, that the rigid adherence to Laicite and authoritarian secularism is one of Kemalisms betrayals of Ataturk, because it was Ataturk himself who said: "If one day, my words are against science, choose science". The historical data at this point, points toward softer secular models being much more successful at fostering democratic society. It makes sense too: if you want to have a sustainable democracy you can not choke peoples freedom of consciousness.

Freedom of religion does not mean you are allowed to reject the laws of the country, these sects break a lot of laws such as marrying multiple wives with religious ceremony or marry off underage people.
These things are clearly illegal in Turkey and freedom of religion does not excempt these people from laws.

I hold rogue one as a very good effort I enjoyed. Mandalorian the same.

Anyway you first watch this kenobi series.... I just saw a review with ton of spoilers in it (so I wont spoil it for you) ....but I am not going to watch this series as they went with the same ole same ole that ruined the new trilogy IMO.
