Turkish authorities have developed an artificial intelligence-based risk analysis system aimed at assessing the risk levels of repeat offenders, specifically designed to predict whether domestic violence incidents may escalate into homicide.
AI systems needs to be used to do grunt work, but also do risk assessment and produce reports that the police can use to better follow up on offenders.
It should be used to gather intel and ensure proper police force can be sent out in timely manner.

Minority Report was based on preemtive crime prevention as I recall and they weren't using AI, but psychics. AI would process through data faster and run through crime reports and such faster and spot out recommendation saying. If we need to combat cyber crime, an AI is necessary.

I think the basic premise was questioning could you penalise a crime that hasn't actually happened (and the answer is no, as there is no way you can trust such a thing as we live in the present with only the past behind us, which is the basis of making and applying law to begin with).
We're always going to have more and better sensoring + analysis (and tiering that to a threat analysis to red flag monitor within some legal framework and authorities delegated you have for it etc, as accountable you can make all of that)...but you cannot prosecute someone for a crime they haven't commited. Doing so enters a dystopia, literally.... and so you see with some of the special (essentially extra-legal) ABC kangaroo courts in various parts of the world, past and present.

Just talked to a friend of mine, and he told me that he had closed down his twitter/x account yesterday. I say @Mis_TR_Like post about Musk changing some stuff and wanted to know if anyone had any info about what has been changed.
I have made an account on bluesky and maybe it's better choice, also I think Defencehub should consider having one in bluesky too, just in case forum goes down and we can't get info about it.

I can't list any technical changes off the top of my head apart from needing a blue tick to get your posts seen.
To be clear it used to have a left-leaning bias, around the time when Musk bought it that was shattered and it actually became super balanced. The problem now is that no matter what you do, the algorithm will show you what Musk wants it to show you. It even had a bug a few days ago where every second post was a Musk one, not sure if I was the only one who got that. There's also been instances where Musk has lost it and deleted peoples posts, removed their blue ticks that they paid for, etc.
It's kind of ruined the fun of it.
