Her biji means long live afaik. As I told you KRG is r3ecognized by Turkey on official level. Again in this tweet there is nothing referring pkk. This news is just misleading.

Thank you brother. Im so happy for the win, i been waiting for such a day for such a long time! The boys made us proud, still one more game.🇲🇦

Thats whats sets Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia apart from our clowns from the Turkish national team.

They play with passion and heart. While our Turkish footballers have egos after the shame of Euro 2021 all the players went on holiday then recorded whatever they were doing.

None of them had any shame that they let the nation down.

Turkish football needs a change from top to bottom.

Also cut their paychecks and anybody with an ego kick them out.

I know, but it's usually used by PKK supporters or sympathizers. If he's so emotionally invested in a "kurdistan" flag, then he's most probably invested in more.
Also, I think there is a bit more to it than just that tweet. They just don't want this young idiot to serve time under terrorism charges.

Ahmet Kaya said Vallahi billahi apoyu ozledik.

Now they are trying to bring his body back to Turkiye.

I say keep his skeleton in France.

Im happy the drones have given us Turks a different image in the world.

Our image has always been the Kebab man or the Man who wears a fez and does ice cream tricks 🤣

Actually not for me. I knew a number of competent Turks in first school (in Singapore) and then engineering at university and then work early on.

One Turk (professor) I owe much to, one of arguably the top 10 published research folks in thermodynamics here in Canada, explained at quite some length the education connection Turks have developed with several very capable technical institutions in Germany for example....he was product of one. This is now replicating and gestating within Turkiye itself with time at good depth and scale.

Folks like these (and I see some here in this forum too like anmdt for example) within Turkiye will serve the nation to its benefit quite well.

So my image of Turkiye has not really changed at all with say its "sudden" success in UAV field for example....because a lot of this is part of a much larger story. The hot take stereotype stuff I never found that useful for my country (India), so I don't find it useful for others either.

Thats so good to hear.

I guess I take my statements back then. Still funny how the stereotypes get broken overtime.

Honestly I didn't even know what the Turkish "stereotypes" were till the internet exploded into the reddit/twitter era of it now...and everything just becomes uni-dimensional in its own way for that because people are looking for simple hot takes to have some fun and smack talk online and so on.

To me modern Turkiye comes from Ataturk founding of it (which is VERY unique phenomenon just by itself in the muslim world as it has made Turkiye quite a balanced country overall on many aspects) and I always thought of it as interesting country at all kind of crossroads and doing quite well (with the cards it got dealt) all things considered.

Istanbul and so on too play big part of my impression from early times because that is what you would see in movies and so on that I grew up with.

One US navy veteran friend of mine also told me one fine day..."dont get a Turk pissed, they got brass balls" lol. I think it was convo that started when we heard about the Turk AirForce cargo planes that were grounded when Ukraine war started. He had a good experience in his service years w.r.t Turks I figure...that would have been in the 70s and 80s, the guy is long retired.

Surprisingly in my life there was yet another American (teacher in middle school) that is one of biggest Turcophiles you will find on the planet, he absolutely fell in love with your country and he would go on at length about it in class from time to time lol (he lived for while in Turkey and he is retired there now - I plan at some point to visit him lol).

Then I look at reddit kind of trash talk stuff and theres a whole different side of stuff people get up to that I just dont understand or care much for lol. Maybe I am the oddball here (especially as far as Indians go who enjoy to break everything simply into A vs B which side are you on etc) compared to the internet generation stuff that maybe occupies lot of the limelight these days.

Which is a pity, I think more people should know more about the real and true Turkiye.

Then things do not seem so strange or shocking at all w.r.t say Turkish advancement in aerospace like TB2 illustrated and hurjet, TFX etc will with time as well. It seem perfectly natural consequence to me.

Anyway sorry for straying a bunch off topic, I felt this need to be said that there is a lot of nuance in the end w.r.t impression on Turkiye that you might not get from relying on the online stuff too much.

And the exactly same guy plays for the Turkish U-19 team... if you have such a close connection to the krg flag then don't play for our Youth teams.

I have some footballer friends from Super League and half of them are smoking Long Davidoff. They only care about money and basically they're just workers with money on their pockets. When they believe they've got enough money they stop developing theirselves.

I think it depends from player to player, but i can relate to what you are mentioning. Many foreigners in the west loose their head when money, and fame comes into the picture. For example in turkey you had this little messi, i forgot his name. Maybe his name was Emre. You have humble players like kevin de bruyne from belgium that works hard, and have solid sportship in his heart. It seems like this is a issue in the mentality of the players, they need a more wider vision for themselfes.

Dont forget the media hype.

Also Emre Mor brought himself down.

With his stupid ego and shitty mentality.

He never trained and constantly got into arguments with his managers.

Managers have constantly gave him a chance so many times and he bottled it.

So many young players nowadays are bottling their careers because the money goes through their heads and inflates their egos.

For me the biggest waste of talent was Adriano from Brazil. After his father died he just fell off for good which was tragic.
