Robespierre was hardly a secularist. He LARPed as one and disliked the influence of the Church because he saw it as too connected to the French monarchy but he was also unwilling to ditch religious sentiments entirely. Just look up the Cult of the Supreme Being.

I here by Declare that Kenya should be a British colony while Somali populated lands go to Somalia.
Why is one map of Kurdistan substantially bigger than the other? Also there technically already is a Kurdistan in Iraq.

How that does make sense when robspierre literally imposed his own cult or aka his own religion.

No different to Stalin imposing his cult of personality and forced people to worship him.
Its just forced state to be deist, good move religion should be destroyed in every goverment levels for good of the people

Forced state deist guess what the people who refuse to comply will easily be killed.

You can complain about religious people coming to power and imposing their will this is technically not any different.

By the way us Turks actually never imposed this sort of thing because our rule was simple you can believe whatever you want as long as you dont rebel against the state and pay your taxes.

This was true for both Pre Islamic and Post Islamic rule.

Mongols may have been brutal and ruthless but their rule was was pretty simple unless you submit.

A lot of the destroyed cities from the Mongols because most states fought and resisted you know how the Nomads deal with that.

Very different to state imposed cult and religion.

We all respect, admire and look heroic on Japanese. But if we look (history books) deeper, they are anything else than that.
Restarted listening to Dan Carlin's Supernova in the East podcast again for my evening walks.

Starts the story at around 1933, goes all the way to 1945 and I think beyond. The inhumanity shown is literally off the charts, much of which I was unaware of as a ww2 buff. Had the Japanese got the same Nüremberg treatment Nazis got, how people views Japanese outside of SEA to this day would have been very, very different.
