It literally mirrors Turkish society. Kemalists constantly play about how Sharia Law is coming to Turkiye. While Islamists constantly spout if the Secularists and Kemalists takeover that they will start destroying mosques and ban your religion.

They play on peoples fears just so they keep in control.

Not to mention the strongman image Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave himself to the public. If I go then Turkiye will collapse. Im like the father that has to keep his children in check.
