Console gaming is no longer the cost alternative to gaming.

Console gaming has now become more expensive than a PC. While a PC is more powerful.

Ps5 Pro is not just expensive but also comes without disc drive.

It costs 1199 AUD plus the the Disc drive costs like 150 to 200 Aud dont forget the online subscription and the vertical stand that is being sold separately.

Greed is destroying Console gaming. Console makers, publishers and developers are all complicit in gaming become a gambling, greedy mess.

Dont forget garbage like Fornite and Overwatch that contributed to a lot of games becoming more rainbow and gay.

I think we need another videogame crash.

The death of optical disk drives was the point at which the downfall of the industry began. With disks, you knew that the software was yours, nobody could take it away from you. Nowadays companies can delete games remotely from your account if you "violate" the terms of service.

I bought the Crew part 1. Because Part 2 and Motorfest are fcking boring.

What I like about it is its serious tone plus it had cops.

Now I cant even play the game I bought because ubisoft shut the game down I cant play it offline.

Thats why so many games are trying to impose online only as time goes the game will shut down which means you cant play it anymore.

Every racing game is trying to copy forza horizon this what pisses me off. So many games are no longer trying anything new constantly copy other games.

Cod and Battlefield went from military shooters to hero shooters with shitty skins and fcking celebrities man.

I play as military operator or soldier most of team have pink camos and guys dressed like clowns. It really pisses me off. I want to see special forces and soldiers of the world but instead we get rappers and nicki minaj. Its so insulting.

In cod mw2 the original I mean the sound design and atmosphere was top notch. How great it was hearing the Russians scream out Ac130 above. While todays cods and battlefield is an insult with characters saying im ready for more. Military shooters no longer have that fear factor of playing the average soldier.

In real life we would all have that fear of a Jet, Drone or a Gunship pounding your positions.

BF1 you had Ottoman soldiers stressed out and swearing when a flametrooper or tank appears. Or the German soldiers yelling when they get attacked at a trench.

Being immersed is now gone.

Nemesis was fcking terrifying!!!

You know Nemesis was planned on breaking even into save rooms but they cut it as the developers believed it would get too hard for players.

Plan was for nemesis to follow you to the end. Basically no different to Terminator.

do you know what he did next ??

when i exited the building and i was running in the street the mother fucker jump from second floor directly to the street IN front of me we fight and he killed me and i had to restart all the way back from police station . hahaha good old days of RE3

Playing hard difficulty there was a risk and reward when you fight nemesis.

Either you run dont get anything or you fight and get those upgraded parts.

Fighting nemesis also means you waste a lot of bullets and health.

We dont get that stuff in games anymore which really sucks. Games nowadays are really pampered.

Modi’s Retirement: Who’s Next?

(I mourn Ratan Tata's demise; but I am worried about Narendra Modi's replacement soon)

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi passes 75 years of age, a potential retirement looms, aligning with his belief that leaders should step down by that age. This raises the critical question of succession in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2029 general elections. The RSS, a powerful influence in BJP affairs, is expected to play a significant role in determining future leadership. In contrast, the opposition’s INDI Alliance, a coalition of regional parties united by a desire to defeat the BJP, lacks ideological coherence. While they came close to a breakthrough in the 2024 elections, their long-term success remains uncertain.

In the 2024 elections, the Congress Party secured 99 seats, the Samajwadi Party 37, and the Trinamool Congress 29, while the BJP was reduced to a minority with 240 seats. This outcome has prompted speculation about the future of BJP leadership and whether the party can maintain its dominance beyond Modi’s tenure. The expectation is that Modi will hand over leadership by 2029, and several potential successors are already being considered.

Key figures within the BJP who could replace Modi include Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh; Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam; and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, federal ministers Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari are seen as strong contenders. All these individuals have strong leadership credentials, having held significant administrative roles, and are closely aligned with the Modi-style governance model. Chandrababu Naidu, while a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), may also be considered, though his lack of RSS backing could be a disadvantage.

On the other side, the INDI Alliance’s leadership faces its own challenges. Rahul Gandhi remains a central figure in the Congress Party but lacks substantial administrative experience, which has led to repeated political setbacks. Other experienced politicians in the alliance, such as P. Chidambaram, Shashi Tharoor, and Jairam Ramesh, may provide stability, but the party’s reliance on Gandhi continues to be a point of concern. Additionally, leaders like M.K. Stalin of Tamil Nadu and Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal are potential candidates for national leadership roles, though Banerjee’s numerous political obstacles may hinder her chances.

The Congress Party, out of power for over 15 years, faces the challenge of adapting to governance if they return to power. Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, largely inherited and shaped without extensive practical experience, has contributed to the party’s struggles. In contrast, the BJP appears more prepared for a leadership transition, with several seasoned leaders ready to step up. While the INDI Alliance has successfully challenged the BJP’s dominance, their internal coherence and leadership remain in question. Both parties have time to refine their strategies for the next electoral contest, but for now, BJP’s succession plans seem more robust than the Congress Party’s reliance on Rahul Gandhi.
