The best system is the Swiss one and Singaporean one.... govt mandates things (within employer coverage and provident fund), pays specific subsidy (in a balanced budget, not one that accumulates debt to pass on) and then private companies provide supply side fully.

He used KF-21 as an example to convey the difficulty of developing KAAN. He said, in essence, Koreans are getting a lot of help and a lot of foreign components(including its radar but that's a false claim I think?) that are not available to us. There are some truths to his words but it's a low blow and not entirely true. He shouldn't have said anything about any competitor. It's unprofessional and completely uncalled for considering the close relationships between Korea and Turkiye.

Well, I'm not going to take it that seriously. I was a little surprised that the government said that, and that it was posted on the official Turkish defense media.
Those tendencies seem to be very severe for government officials who are exposed to the Turkish media. I think it's good to promote their performance and make them proud. But it can be too much to make too idealistic a promise and cause people to be disappointed if it doesn't come true later on. How will it be explained to the people then?
