After chatting with Mr. Cem Doğut on X, I’ve realized that I was being rather harsh on the restoration mentioned on my previous post.
Turns out RN there are only two (2) original BMW 801 radial engines in running condition available in the world!
The most recent one is restored by GossHawk Aviation for their very famous FW190 restoration project, ’White 1’

Mr. Doğut told me that the engine chosen for the Sivrihisar Fw190 is a Shvetsov ASh-82 and according to him, it’s a go to engine for almost all WW2 restoration projects.
