Whatever that is not a must but eats a lot of money, needs to take a backseat and more money needs to be put into weapons production.

Although I support this fully, no government with election concerns would do it. Because the costs of obeying Israel and US would seem much lower to them. If Türkiye renounces its regional ambitions, in the short term, Turkish economy may even perform better. Ordinary people would like this. In the mid to long term, however, lost upward potential can be huge. And I dont think Israel would stop. They would want to make another Iran out of Türkiye and destroy it in the mid to long term. Current government may be of the opinion they are doing something and preparing. This is full dellusion. They need to do five times more. I am astonished they still did not order the second batch of 20 Eurofighters. Amazing…
