Would not surprise me if the leadership of Iran informed Isreal to strike the position. Iran reminds me of Arafat. Everyone around Arafat got executed but he remained untouched. Arafat looking back was probably an Israeli agent. Basically a honey trap to pull all legitimate zionist opponents out to be easily destroyed by Isreal.
Just like the last persian got toasted by the USA at an airport, would not surprise if the the regime itself informed america to take him out. Trump already revealed deals were made to strike an empty american base. Entire middle east is riddled and infested with western military units, but they hit an empty base.
And isnt it interesting the last time persians got toasted by Isreal, they decided to launch missiles into pakistan and idlib.
Another futile sacrifice in the offing then. Should Iran initiate such a pointless exercise to avenge the attack on the consulate, will that help bolster support for Israel or weaken it? I would say that Israel has lost a great deal of sympathy from the people of western Europe due to its actions in Gaza. A revenge attack would serve to deflect attention from Israel's deeds in Gaza and so bring back sympathy for Israel.

The IDF overnight withdrew all ground troops from the southern Gaza Strip, after four straight months of fighting in the Khan Younis area. Only one brigade, Nahal, remains in the Gaza Strip. It is tasked with securing the so-called Netzarim Corridor, which crosses Gaza from the Be'eri area to the coast.
I think the Gaza war is largely over now. Israel is now focusing entirely on the Lebanese border.
