TR 2023 Turkish presidential election

We are all that Erdogan should go but in its place to replace weak old KK is risky one , for me Sinan Oğan will be better president and can sent emigrants out and close/ hunt pkk lovers but since Oğan very unlikely will became president than i hope Meral ,Mansur , some CHP nationalists if there are any and Turk Generals of mighty army keeps him in track or he will destroy Turkiye .

I think many people (including myself) don't believe KK or a change in administration will solve all of their problems and a lot of people would rather they distanced themselves from hdp, this is why I predict the polls will underestimate İYİ Party's votes by a couple of percentage points at least. Many people want them to have more say in that alliance. But the best candidate to win was KK, because he's the one with the highest potential of winning all hdp votes, and that 10% is necessary for anyone who wants to win. This is why if the opposition didn't get HDP backing, AKP was going to inevitably try to get their support and in that case Erdoğan would have to make much more concessions to them compared with the opposition. But imo, kk or anybody else doesn't matter as much as stopping the consolidation of power and wealth into the hands of very few people, stopping their monopolization of the media, and stopping their reign of terror through a completely upended judiciary. Even if kk achieves nothing, just the fact that their consolidation will stop is huge.

177 billion dollars from central bank reserves have been sold to hold the Lira freefall in the past year alone, despite the fact that the government is blocking importers from buying dollars as much as they want. This will lead to an explosion in demand for dollars leading to a big jump in price, right after capital controls are lifted after the election. So people will start with a negative view of KK from the get-go. It will be very hard for them to prove to ignorant people what has caused this.

I had already decided not to follow the agenda until the election process was over, but this incident and what I saw on social media just before it infuriated me. And in this process, the social psychology of the CHP masses has begun to resemble that of the Akp, not just its alliance engineering that is also mimic Akp's early years. Today, even in a friendly environment, my very dear friends were arguing to me that İnce didnt withdraw from the candidacy because he had a sex tape. Now I really want to lock myself in a cave until the election is over.

Btw, İnce announced that he would wage a legal struggle against all these.

Kemal kilicdaroglu wants to remove all people he deal with montages? Then I urge that he gets rid of himself first as he himself admiteed to use fake montaged video in the Turkish parliament for years. Kemal Kilicdaroglu is taking thebpeople for fools and he is succeeding with his fake persona

You keep posting because you are passionate about this topic and I admire that. You can’t stay away from this post because you want people to see your side which is rational.But because of your passion you become emotional and when you’re emotional you become defensive and when you’re defensive it’s not fun to debate.

I told you this before I dont have a particular party. I support change and our country needs change. I don’t think any man should rule more than 2 terms ever never. Yes he got too many points recently from mods....so was gone for a while till now.

He is active member with great interest in Turkish politics and participation in this forum.....so I retired one earlier point he had that I felt were imposed too long....so that he can be here for conclusion of election and post-election analysis....as he is long term member. But he is on a knife edge still, so should please take care.

I hope he and all of you take this opportunity to discuss things in more civil, professional way and not invite mod action upon yourselves.

Another member (ryder) has suffered points too (and now found himself in a ban period), maybe others have too (or are close to it). All recent points, and I think mostly from this thread or similar ones alone quite unnecessarily.

Members should refrain from being hotheaded and follow the forum rules. Many of you clearly have seen lot of mods here in this thread already, please keep such things in mind before you guys let loose.

This is a political thread so I guess it is solely designed for politics
Most of the ppl in this forum are anti-AKP for a reason, which I respect, and the posts they share reflects that and the mistakes about the AKP but I believe that going on with the current trend is dangerous as the current prime candidate from the opposition party makes me feel as if he will come and fix everything instantaneously. If history is anything to go by, these types of people are the ones who are gonna screw things over
