The one closest to the camera is the test article for the Şahin anti drone system as per the drone killmarks that are visible. We had seen photos of it last year I think. Wonder if these are getting ready for delivery or just prototypes.

ASELSAN General Manager Haluk Görgün: (gdh special)

GÖKDEMİR Air Defense System will operate autonomously.

There will be 8-12 GÖKDOĞAN missiles in the vehicle.

It will be a very practical, mobile system.

ASELSAN General Manager Haluk Görgün: (gdh special)

GÖKDEMİR will fill the mid-range and altitude as a concept.

I can say that I expect the SİPER Product-2 shares to be shared very soon.

Aselsan is currently developing more than 25 national state of art radars in all scales. No need to mention Aselsan is one of the leading player in AESA GaN HEMT high output power jammer sensors. The enemy who will try to enter Turkish airspace will have to consist of pilots who are either mentally ill or whose brains have been totally compromised by drugs. I wouldn't recommend any human that respects itself and its family do this torment themselves. 🤗

One of the beautiful thing about these projects is while air defense systems were Turkey's weakest side, it will now be ours strongest side :sneaky:.

Why was Gökdemir built when there was Hisar-O/RF?

Can we say that Roketsan and TUBITAK SAGE have a sweet rivalry? :sneaky:
There is enmity, not competition.
There is no one who does not know that 2 of them have bitter enmities with each other.

I look at it in a positive way and I try to show it that way. Also, to call it enmity would be an exaggeration. After all, they both depend on the state.

If I have to choose between the two, my preference would be TUBITAK Sage. I don't like Faruk Yiğit, the chairman of the board of directors of Roketsan. I can't like an academic who worked in a country like Saudi Arabia for 14 years.

It is fine to go to Saudi Arabia as a laborer, but if you go as an academic/teacher, it means you have no self-respect.

shitty country like Saudi Arabia

Interesting perspective
May I ask why?
That is it. Because that is Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government has been an enemy of Turks since time immemorial.

Why do many famous scientists and engineers in our country study in the USA and Europe and then work in Turkiye, Europe and the USA? This includes Temel Kotil, Mahmut Akşit and Selçuk Bayraktar.

The person who goes to Saudi Arabia goes there for money and because his mentality suits him. This is much, much worse, especially if the person who goes there is well educated.

What level of education and science can there be in a country like Saudi Arabia?

In this absurd country, philosophy classes were banned until yesterday.

Honestly I feel little bit disappointed. Looks like there is no Altitude control thrusters (as we previously speculated) for Hit-to-kill interception against BM.
Or am I missing it?

Yes, but there will be more missiles. This is an extremely compact missile in comparison to its capability and we will be able to at least dual-pack this beast. It also seems like the guidance is vastly improved ( this is a must due to the longer range) there are 4 external antennae just behind the guidance section. Overall this looks like a vastly improved ESSM Block-2.

Note that Tubitak/Roketsan is running a really fast schedule. This missile will start testing this year. The next missile should have what we are waiting for.

So, if it doesn't have any booster its effective range likely to be around 100km like Siper block-0? (Given you are describing it as extremely compact) But with superior guidance and kinetic performance?

Nope, Tubitak's Siper is in the league of SM2 block -IV, SM-6. Nowhere close to an ESSM neither operationally nor dimension wise.

Tbh, SM-2 comparison sounds more realistic.
SM-6 is a Huge missile with SM-3's MK-72 booster that gives it over 300km interception range. (Unofficially)

SM-2 Block IV and SM-6 are common in size and shares the same architecture for booster and rocket motor. Siper's later block will get the booster too.

It is hinted as 150km+. It is "extremely compact in comparison to" its range.

SM-2 is a huge missile compared to this. It won't be that big. I have %100 confidence that it will be a lot lighter compared to SM-2.
