Some stuff were signed at highest level with no details.

If they did get agreements with one or two countries for their jets; I think those would still be announced after actual deal is signed with EF consortium.
Erdoğan, few minutes ago:

"Under the coordination of my Minister of National Defense, we have been discussing the purchase of Eurofighter fighter jets with our counterparts in Qatar and Oman for some time now. The negotiations we have been conducting on this matter, which involves many technical details, are progressing positively. One is Qatar, the other is Oman. I have also held these talks. My Defense Minister and Foreign Minister have also held these talks. They will continue these discussions in the coming period. We want to bring these talks to a swift conclusion and, God willing, strengthen our Air Force considerably. With the purchase of these aircraft, our Air Force will become much stronger."

First official mention of Omani aircraft indeed being talked about. But again, only "talks". If an agreement was reached, expect finalization with the deal signed; not before. Export control and all that; won't be a thing before the real deal is signed.

More claims and talks. We had already talked about Starmer coming to Turkey this month; more details from Özbek:

British MoD and RAF chief along with BAE admins will be present. Not so tiny chance of a deal being reached then. Özbek claims Turkey wants the 24 Qatari EFs and the slots for the 12 T4s they ordered to be transferred to Turkey.

"The report stated that delivery of the Eurofighter aircraft is scheduled to begin next year, but that new F-16s are not expected to arrive in Turkey before 2030. This gap is considered a decisive factor in the Turkish Air Force's decision to turn to European-made aircraft to meet its urgent modernization needs."

Oman EFs have Captor-M which is a mechanical radar installed in Tranch 3A. We should aim for Qatari ones with Captor-E AESA, unless an upgrade of the radar is not costly. 24 Qatari EF plus 40 new EFs should be the bridging goal. Otherwise they wont give us flexibility to integrate our own stuff and also from viewpoint of economics of operation. Pursuing F35 will only cost us more time, though we can still try after securing the EFs. But in addition and not as alternative.

There is too much speculation regarding this issue. There are a ton of numbers and scenarios.

True. Many speculation.
Truth, though, always hunts you down.

Arda Mevlütoğlu:
“It is gratifying to see that the efforts we spent to acquire the second-hand version of a plane for which we received an invitation back in the day to become the fifth consortium member (and which we rejected) are beginning to bear fruit.”

OUCH! 😞
