You can try to keep Macron away from Haftar.
Both of them are pests and a threat to Algeria and the regional stability, that being said France won't be given concessions nor would it listen to the voice of reason, we in Algeria know that better, it must be driven out by force, like Malians did and like Chad and rest of the sahel brothers are currently doing, what we can do is assist them move away from their influence AFTER they make their decision... One cannot be more patriotic than the citizens of the country

France is still one of the biggest partners of Algeria on a commercial level, and on a security level in North Africa. It's actually reported that Macron and tebboune will sign a joint declaration for a renewed partnership today! If we take a look at the past couple of months we have seen tensions between France, and Algeria after macron questioned if the Algerian even had a state, and identity before the invasion by France. Your words really look like you trying to beautify the way the Algerian leadership is dealing with the issue with France. As a fellow Muslim, and Moroccan I'm ashamed of how the Algerian state is dealing with the french after their brutal historical colonization in the past, and the treatment in modern times. Funny how Macron made his "Speech" trying to run away from the past, while visiting the cemetery of french soldiers who died in algeria, and perhaps the worst thing I saw was how president tebboune gave a military salute when Macron came to shake his hand. Protocol error or sense of inferiority upon france?

You say Macron left empty handed but let me conclude what has been achieved so far during the visit

- Speaking at a press conference, Tebboune responded by saying the visit yielded “encouraging results” and he hoped it would “open up new perspectives for partnership and cooperation with France”.

- He said they discussed how to bring stability to Libya, the Sahel region, and the dispute with Morocco on the territory of the sahara,

- Yesterday Macron and Tebboune presided over a "coordination meeting" involving security officials from both countries, "the first of its kind between the security interests of the two countries", the Algerian presidency said.

Let me make my statement pretty clear. As a fellow Moroccan, I'm not surprised by this scenario that has taken place, but I just needed to highlight the events that have taken place since you are trying to brush off the truth. France is still the most influential state in Algeria whether you like it or not.

1-afaik biggest French investments in Africa are in Morocco and biggest investor in Morocco is France, as opposed to Algeria in which the investments are much smaller and the commercial exchange is keeps on declining, China ranks first with both imports and exports.

The trade volume with France trends downwards. A better case for deep dealings and relations with the French could be made with Moroccan kingdom however.

2-military salut to Macron is a spit on his face as the army is the instigator of the anti French sentiment, the army remains the only sector in Algeria where the use of French made hardware remains marginal. It's common knowledge that the French accuse the army of taken over and being hostile towards france.

3-algeria is in the process of wiping out the French and substituting it with English, yet despite that somehow you think the government wants more relations with them ?

As for the sahel cooperation, it won't go beyond joint naval drills, beyond that, the Malians are still free from the French influence and the transaharan road is still being built which represents the biggest threat to French interests in the region. France lost its allies in Algeria after the army backed 2019 revolt

If Morocco and Algeria do fight its something we would like to avoid.

But if they do.

I dont know what to say its something we cant stop because the Sahara dispute is like 50 years old.

Us Turks dont know much about it.

If they do fight perhaps the useless OIC should so something about it.
Fighting with who exactly? Morocco?😂
90% of the moroccan army are now in +1000km trenches in Western Sahara not even near Algeria and they are in war with Sahrawis, not mentioning the war with the desert itself.

So, Türkiye and Algeria must work together. Not only to find a political reason. If necessary by force, as @Sami1234 stated. It means all kind of support to defeat Haftar/Macron on the ground. But we must ensure that Egypt will not interfere in the conflict by siding with Assad. The other opponents are no match for us.

We have also good relations to the other neighbors of Libya. If they are willing to support us, why not a military solution. We just need to send 2-3 battalions.

If war occurs, this may be the end of the European Union. You can imagine a wave of immigrants 10 times the Syrian wave. Europe currently has no choice but to calm the situation in North Africa.

In every civil war in the last half century, direct foreign intervention riled people up and turned both the country and sometimes the region into a quagmire, it is counterproductive and only makes things worse, air support without boots on the ground and minimal media cover is the best solution, direct intervention should be limited and a final resort to stop a certain bloodshed. I wouldn't love for any of our countries to be involved in a futile Afghanistan or Vietnam style war that weakens them and destroys all they built. Libyans imo should figure it out on their own with minimal foreign assistance (which should be covert whenever possible)...

“We are going to act together in many areas outside of Algeria and France in the interest of Africa. France is also close to Africa. This merger will allow us to go very far”

Political postering. Reality is what appears on the ground and what's concrete, not politicians pats over shoulders during meetings. By this logic turkey is a strategic ally (or a client state whichever you see fit really) if we adopt what politicians say on meetings instead of the on the ground realities.

yes absolutely, better let libyans solve it themselves with minimal on the ground assistance. last thing you want is involvement in a full blown war with the locals hating you everyday a bit more because like it or not the average person perceive you, an armed foreigner, as an invader and the side you're on traitors. this is why direct interventionism is usually a bad idea: it often backfires.

When Turkiye went to Libya. Forging relations with Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco were more important than Egypt.

Egyptians are useless to be honest. Always hostile against us no matter what.

Egypt with its manpower and large army is probably one of the most important players if not the most important one, it's just that you guys are competing so it is obvious why you don't look eye to eye
