Turkish companies double their investments in various Algerian infrastructure sectors and here is a sample of infrastructure projects implemented by Turkish companies.
1 - Hassi Delaa and Guerrara Solar Power Plant Project by turkish Özgün İnşaat
Özgün İnşaat has made a significant breakthrough in the renewable energy sector by undertaking two major solar energy plant projects to support Algeria's energy transformation.
As part of the renewable energy program initiated by the Algerian State Company, Sonelgaz, Özgün İnşaat is constructing the
362 MWp capacity
Hassi Delaa Solar Power Plant in Laghouat province and the
82 MWp capacity
Guerrara Solar Power Plant in Ghardaia province. These projects will significantly contribute to Algeria's strategic goals of enhancing energy independence and ensuring environmental sustainability.
The projects are integral to a comprehensive program led by Sonelgaz Group, aiming to boost energy independence, promote environmental sustainability, and support economic development in Algeria. Özgün İnşaat has been entrusted with critical tasks, including the integration of facilities and the electrical transmission system.
These projects highlight Özgün İnşaat’s commitment to innovative engineering solutions and sustainability, reinforcing its mission to represent Turkey on the global stage.
Chinese solar solutions company LONGi has entered into a strategic partnership with Turkish construction company Özgün İnşaat to supply its Hi-MO 7 high-efficiency modules for the 300 MW AC/362 MW Hassi Delâa photovoltaic (PV) project in Algeria. This project, awarded under a 3 GW national tender program in Algeria and managed by state-owned Sonelgaz, represents a significant milestone in the country's transition to renewable energy.
Özgün İnşaat, a leading company within the KRK Holding Group, has also selected LONGi as its technology partner based on its proven performance and financial viability. The project will use LONGi's Hi-MO 7 series LR8-66HGD modules, rated at 625W each, optimized for high-output performance in Algeria's climate. The bifacial modules boast an efficiency of 23.1% and industry-leading temperature coefficients (-0.280%/°C), ensuring their reliability in harsh operating environments, according to the specialized platform PV TECH.
Important Collaboration Özge Baqi, General Manager of KRK Holding Energy Companies, emphasized the importance of this collaboration. She said, "The experience we have gained in solar projects, both as investors and engineering and construction contractors, combined with our more than 20 years of experience in Algeria, enabled us to win the Hassi Dela Laghouat solar photovoltaic project under the Sonelgaz tender." She added, "We are very pleased to have signed the solar photovoltaic module supply agreement with LONGi." The global leader in this field is known for the quality of its products and outstanding performance.
We would like to thank LONGi Solar for its support in the success of this project, and we look forward to implementing more joint projects that will enhance solar energy production in the region.” Leon Zhang, President of LONGi Europe, said: “This project exemplifies how global technology partnerships are accelerating the energy transition. Our Hi-MO 7 biphasic modules deliver superior energy gains and high performance rates, which is critical for maximizing the return on investment in large-scale installations. In partnership with Özgün İnşaat, we are setting a new standard for the future of these new energies in Algeria.
Supporting Algeria's Renewable Energy Goals The Hassi Delaa Laghouat solar power project is strategically located to support Algeria's renewable energy goals. Upon completion, this 362 MW DC project is expected to generate 700 GWh of clean electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 450,000 tons. This partnership establishes a framework for future cooperation between LONGi and Özgün İnşaat in North Africa, underscoring their shared commitment to sustainable development and energy security.
Turkish company Özgün İnşaat has made a qualitative leap in the renewable energy sector by implementing two major solar power plant projects to support Algeria's energy transition. As part of the renewable energy program launched by the Algerian National Electricity Company (Sonelgaz), Özgün İnşaat is building the 362 MW Hassi Delaa solar power plant in in Laghouat Province, and the 82 MW El Guerrara solar power plant in Ghardaia Province.
These two projects will significantly contribute to Algeria's strategic goals of enhancing energy independence and ensuring environmental sustainability. They also form an integral part of a comprehensive program led by the Sonelgaz Group, which aims to promote energy independence, enhance environmental sustainability, and support economic development in Algeria. Özgün İnşaat has been entrusted with critical tasks, including the integration of utilities and the electricity transmission system. These projects highlight Özgün İnşaat's commitment to innovative engineering solutions and sustainability, further strengthening its mission to represent Türkiye on the global stage.

2- Realization of the 48 km Highway Penetration Link from Tizi Ouzou to the Algeria East-West Highway at Djebahia by Turkish companies.
The 48 km highway is designed as a 2x3 lane. There are 2x21 viaducts with a total length of 10,065 m and 2x2 tunnels with a total lenght of 1,600 m on the route. In addition, there are 15 underpasses & overpasses and various sizes of culverts at roadside junctions. There are also 30 million m³ earthworks including 24 million m³ excavation and 6 million m³ fills.
The 7,118x2 meters of viaducts within the scope of the project is constructed by a balanced cantilever method using high technology equipment. The remaining 2,947x2 meters of the viaducts are built using the classic prestressed beam method. These viaducts within the scope of the project have the capacity to be Africa's greatest engineering structures in terms of length, elevation, and span

3- Bejaia RN43 Road Construction Project
This project carried out in order to relieve traffic congestion on the RN43, contains the arrangement works of the national road on 11,5 km, survey works, and construction of the tunnels. This project is composed of 3 sections. Section 1 contains the construction of 11,5 km road, Section 2 contains the construction of the tunnels and electrification on 11,5 km road, section 3 contains the construction of the viaducts. There are 3 tunnels which are 880 m, 635 m and 268 m and 137 m emergency tunnel.

Arrangement works of Kherrata RN09 Road
The route of the mentioned road is located on the national road connecting the provinces of Bejaia and Setif, on the 7.6 km section between the town of Bordj-Mira and the town of Kherrata. The existing road was built by the French in 1865 according to the conditions of that day, and it is an extremely narrow road with a width of 3.5 m to 4 m. On one side of the road there is a precipitous slope consisting of steep and split rocks, while on the other side there is a stream bed that passes 30-50 m below the road level. Within the scope of this special project, viaducts crossed with steel beams on concrete foot, special engineering structures defined as half bridges, openbox culvert productions, tunnel construction and a very special design that works as a 2 to 5 meter cantilever towards the streamside were realized with pre-tensioned beams called “Estecade”
