They will slowly switch to Korean-made tanks, abandoning German in the future. Seem like they got their lessons from what happened to Turkey regarding German tanks after operations. And how German behaved in Ukraine situation.

Also, you need to remember Altay is derived from a Korean tank, meaning Koreans are pretty open to tech transfer. I believe Korean companies will dominate the future armored vehicle market in Europe.

No. The easiest companies to cooperate with are European companies. This is so because a culture of commercial cooperation can develop over time across the continent. South Koreans and Japanese are difficult people to work with. The culture of international cooperation at the European level has not yet been formed in that geography. Transferring technology from South Koreans is therefore a difficult task.

On the other hand, IMO, Germany's attitude towards Ukraine, not Turkey, pushed the Poles to this decision.

Transferring technology from South Koreans is a difficult task not because they are difficult people to work with,

but because Korean didnt had all the core technology.

Dont forgot Korean industry only rised after late-1980s and they finished K-9 and K-2 only 10 years ago.

K-9 and K-2 and KF-21 were their first national products,and just like our T-129, many parts(for example,engines were from western and they cant tranferring that easily.


Just like we had problem when we export Fırtına and T-129

Not only Ukraine, but to Poles themselves as well. Leopard 2PL upgrade program was a hot mess, not to mention how Poland was rejected from joining MGCS.

They are basically phasing out/transferring all of their T-72 related tanks, including Twardy, to Ukraine. Leopards are the next to go.
