Well if some sort of coup or renegade thing goes on with armenian military, that just means deal is off the table. ...Azeris can simply proceed, I doubt russians want to get in their way (force level commited for peacekeeping is certainly not enough). Russia after all already has done enough to violate international norms in places like Crimea, Eastern Ukraine and Georgia lately....I don't think they want to keep adding to the plate so brazenly too.

This is very stupid by Armenia, just do the basic math and logic, some special status for NK (and long term coming under some kind of sovereignty for AZ too with protection + constitutional rights for armenian there that originated there...but they are AZ citizens) is about the best they are going to get given AZ is far larger powerful and more equipped and consolidated now (compared to shambles of situation when USSR collapsed)....and this is Azeri land recognised as such by every other country (incl Russia).

This is a dumb hill for Armenians to die on if they go this splinter faction route that means scrapping deal when ink is not even dried too. It means no deal signed by Armenia can really be trusted going forward either given its not a united disposition on such matters.

It is said that Russia actually took control over Armenia and by that I mean the government in Yerevan.

If true...this could be good news for us. See the bigger picture, guys. Their goal is to control Armenia. Karabakh was never on the Russian agenda a top priority - it was just a tool to gain control over Armenia before Biden's America can make a move in the Caucasus which incidentally is/was the last region on Russia's long border from Europe to Asia where Moscow wasn't fully involved.

This makes sense to me and it explains why Russia reacted reluctant after AZ had downed the helicopter and why Russia actually never really helped the Armenians over the last 1'5 months.

In other words, this whole war helped them put Armenia into the Russian basket.

Well the fact that TSK is also involved sounds good, i thought its Russians only which would obviously be a shit show.

Anyways, hope the best for our Azeri bros.

Why is Macron silent btw?

This year is already the 100th anniversary of the Turkish-Armenian war where Kazim Karabekir Pasha crushed the Armenians.

Only to have Armenia lose again in 100 years to our Azerbaijani Brothers.

It looks like a good year afterall.

Overall there was a deal between Putin and Erdogan and they both made a strong pressure on Aliev. This deal is much much better than anything Azerbaijan could achieve without war, but after taking Shusha it is a large concession. Basically Azerbaijan gets a Russian enclave on its territory.

Good thing that based on this deal Armenia should provide a transportation between Azerbaijan mainland and Nakhichevan.

On Armenian forums 90% are very angry at Russia. They say that Russia did not help them in war and now forced to sign a capitulation. Now there are large riots in Yerevan so dont know how it will hold.

Currently it seems like Russian diplomatic victory, but in long term if everything works and Armenia will start developing economic ties with Azerbaijan and Turkey it may start the departure of Armenia from total dependency on Russia.
Wait, I know it shows a land corridor, but as I understand from the treaty Azerbaycan own's Lacin, which means the corridor will pass through Azerbaycan's land in a way like Nakcivan's connection with Azerbaycan. So it's vice verse, right ?
