AD and Artillery Are Separating.
Insider information confirms a new AD Dte in army headquarters along with an AD Center & School being established in Barisal Cantonment

I think army has started to take AD more seriously. The sentiment has been echoed in a recent speech of army chief during the induction of CS/AA3.

Bangladesh Army uses Turkish Tactical Area Communications System (TASMUS).

TASMUS is a tactical area communications system which provides network centric communication infrastructure. The main goal of TASMUS is to provide a common picture of the battlefield in near-real time and shares data among battlefield systems. It facilitates fusion and display of intelligence information to commanders at all levels and handles the exchange of targeting data from sensor to weapon systems.

TASMUS aims to form mobile, survivable, flexible and secure network to support all the present and future communication requirements of the commanders in the tactical field.

TASMUS brings together state-of-the-art military communication technologies while enabling access through wired user terminals, mobile radios, integrated Combat Net Radio networks and Tactical Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) in the tactical field.

TASMUS is deployed in the area of military operations such that, seamless communication between the army and battalion/company level is achieved. It provides interfaces to the strategic telecom and data networks, while providing connection to the existing Combat Net Radio systems via Combat Net Radio Interface.

Should Bangladesh buy t72 or vt 4 main battle tank to strengthen our armour corps? in my opinion we should buy cheap tanks in large number as we are certain to loose many like in Ukrainian-Russian war. So quantity is preferable over quality.

Nobody is selling T72. And we ain't buying that either. There is no current incentive to buy MBT.

They should finalize the MR-SAM, Type-A GMLRS deal, acquire more TRG-300, TB2, VT-5, Nora B-52 instead.

@Isa Khan from what I deduced, More TRG-300/230 likely to be on the way.

Bangladesh received 2x batteries of TRG-300 in 2021 as mentioned in army promotion video.

Only remaining battery was delivered in 2022 on February 4th. (Before Ukraine war started)

And then these appeared in Ukraine mid 2022.

Exact same Kamaz truck and BD army's unique camouflage. They didn't even bother to change it. It means likely more were ordered by BD but those were shipped to Ukraine. (Some amendment to the deal) and We will likely recieve more TRG230 from the next prodcution batch this year or early next year.

This is a bit speculative, but I think reasonable. (Also, I have another...pure guess. 1x battery Type-A MLRS/Khan was likely ordered in the 2021 deal)

I spoke with one of the junior-most offrs in 26Hrs posted in lebukhali. He told me VT-5s are the most probable candidates for them as the land is soft and the few t59s (not durjoy) they have are constantly getting stuck there and are basically scrap metal. But they need ARTDOCs approval first before they can purchase anything, furthermore although 15IAS is under 24DIV it still tests & reports to ARTDOC like it was originally supposed to do, and they have 2 tank tp (6 tanks) of VT-5s which they are currently observing in ctg cantt.

VT-5 is an excellent platform. Even without APS.

Is the army satisfied with vt5? Will more be orders?
