The best decision of 20 years of Erdogan's reign was to block Instagram.

(The reason of the blockade was because Instagram deleted and removed condoleance messages about Haniyeh).

The whole week long i see videos of 'influencers' and internet 'phenomenons' and dumb Z-generation youth crying that they cant make stories when they visit a concert or Starbucks and that they lose money.

The world is on fire, genocides everywhere, but these White Turks (Beyaz Türkler) are complaining about their own nation on foreign platforms because they cant make stories.

Honestly, Erdogan's current feud with Instagram is quite stupid and meaningless. However, we also ought to realise that Western based social media, particularly META, are a great threat to nations that oppose Western shenanigans.

While Erdogan's post deletion issue regarding Hamas is stupid, it does point out that they can remove the posts that they dont like in order to shift the global public opinion and perception to the narrative that they want which ironically goes against the prime reason for why they advertised such platforms in the first place; i-e, freedom of speech.

For now it is against Hamas and many dont care but in the future it may be targeted against Turkey itself and that is why Instagram/META officials need to know early on that there are some lines that shouldnt be crossed
