I want to emphasize about the timing and the methodology of the announcement of the jet.

It is not argue that the US has the most advanced technology related with a superior fighter jets. This has always been the case. But there were no real competition.

However, today we see so many countries showing how advanced equipment they can out together.

Today China is flying 5th gen jet with 3 engines with a wingless design. This was not the case 20 years ago.

Turkey has small sized wingless unmanned fighter ready for production. They are also developing unmanned fighter jet along with their drone army.

What the US has produced recently is f35, which is a marvel, yet produced jointly. The last marvel produced by the US only is f22, which is an old and very very expensive jet.

It is well known that f35 still have some serious issues regarding the engine, ram coating and processing unit. Many of the issues were resolved years after the pkane is ready to sale.

Now, we see Chinese claimed to be 6th gen jets making test flies for a time. On the other hand what we see from the US side is a modern bomber flew several times and pictures of a so called superb fantastic unparalleled in every aspect f47. This is announced right after Trump assumed the presidency with a claim of "make America great again".

I am not saying US cannot produce such a jet but i won't believe that it is neither ready nor is capable of rendering opponents inconsequential in every aspect, until I see it.
