The borders are closed, i thought foreigners are not allowed to enter, how did they import new cases?

The borders are almost closed, exceptions E.g. Beijing Olympics, "vaccinated Foreign businessman", and Chinese themselves constantly returning back to China from wherever, as well as vaccinated Chinese going outside for a holiday and coming back - even though facing a 7-14 days quarantine upon returning.

Well, going by that Lopgic better keep the border closed forever and be done with it because covid is certianly not gonna disappear anytime soon.

Well that is what Beijing is more or less doing - until (just my guess) they have reasons to believe that the existing variants and new ones are "harmless".
