Does anyone know a good resource if I want to familiarize myself with military stuff like guns/aircrafts/tanks/ships, etc? Like how to judge whether it's a good aircraft or gun? And where does Indian military stand with respect to other countries in the world with regards to these equipments? Thanks

Well within this forum, probably main approach would be to search using search terms, peruse the proper threads and then understand the broad categorization of military equipment into its various generations/eras. Then you can ask specific questions in those threads for more details in say A vs B of same generation platforms.

Other than that google is your friend.

Or you can read the wikis of worlds largest armed forces and note their equipment and force structures....what is legacy technology, what is current technology and what is being developed for the future etc. Maybe start with this and then branch outwards into this forum pertaining to your interests in the suitable threads.

Hardik Pandya has actually quite well both for MI as well as GT. As captain of GT where GT was a brand new franchise in 2022, he led the team to the title and also finished the league as table toppers. In 2023, GT were the runners up under his captaincy. So he's been a great captain till now. The problem with him is his arrogant attitude which people don't like, otherwise he's a really good player.
It's also true that Rohit Sharma has been underperforming for MI in the last 3-4 seasons. Regardless, the way the MI management removed Rohit Sharma from his captaincy wasn't correct, they have lost many MI fans in the process. Even though I support MI, I personally don't care as much about franchise cricket. At the end of the day, your performance matters and if you don't perform you'll get replaced if there's someone better

He knows the limits of pre-election blab or they will be made apparent to him....given these are personnel sent to maintain, service, fly and train Maldivian defence forces w.r.t things like helicopters.

Any funny business and India will restrict tourists to Maldives as required and other sanctions. Pay your own damn bills.
Every country has its own right to ally with any country it want and also add
to the fact that they should maintain that stance when they reach a hardship and should ask for help with their new allies. Sreelanka had its rebel phase then we all know how we had to help them from the mess they caused. If Maldives gets into any trouble we should in all virtue leave them to their own fate.

We were not exactly innocent in Srilanka's case

China uses cash to get countries on their side, but these countries have massive economic linkages with India set up over centuries. So the China honeymoon lasts till the realization hits.

Having Maldives on our side is also crucial for Lakshadweep. The southern Lakshadweep have cultural and economic ties with Maldives. Also both Lakshadweep and Maldives are Islamic. If Maldives goes fully Chinese, the Chinese will definitely try to formant trouble in Lakshadweep seeing how important the islands are strategically and their religion being unwelcome to the current Indian governing party.
