I believe wikipedia is faulty on this one. Yes it was first seen fired in action in 2017. However, I believe they've had it in inventory for at least 2 decades now.

@TheInsider, could you enlighten this topic?
2 decades hell no. What you remember is the Yıldırım missile. It is the predecessor of Bora/Khan but Bora kept secret for a long time that is true it is not even offered for export in its limited-range Khan version not until permission is given to Roketsan so that Roketsan can market it as Khan.

They are trying to drag Türkiye into the Ukraine war.

US and EU are not happy with Turkiye's relationship with Russia

But this is unimportant. Türkiye should mind its own business and think about its interests.

It appears BA bought 1x regiment (18) KAPLAN MLRS along with 400x TRG-300 guided rockets for $ 60 millions only.
In the meantime countries are buying few Himars for hundreds of millions.😆

HIMARS is a complete launcher with different missiles, and ranges as you already know. The pricing is smooth! I would guess around 1 million per launcher, and 100k per missile.

Also, it seems a good numbers (102) of Cobra-ii purchase is going on silently.
It appears Army is happy with its performance in UN deployments.

Compared to our old BTR-80s, which doesn't have sufficient IED protection.

I guess BA only payed the „Bruh price“ .

More like 'Grand Bazar' style negotiation.😆

Jokes aside, BD signed a direct MOU with Roketsan under which we don't have to initiate every contract for new purchase from the scratch.

Also, if you look carefully- the price isn't very low either.
100k per TRG rocket and it is more or less similar to the scale by which US army buys M series rockets for its Himars. (But several times higher for the foreign buyers)

Instead of looking for second-hand frigates from the US, UK etc., the Ministry of Defense should have given our private shipyards the opportunity to run a secondary warship program independent of MILGEM.
In other words, all of the private shipyards (moreover the subcontractors who do most of the design work) has gained the knowledge during milgem programme (which is still ongoing). Any development occuring nowadays owe it to past 20 years.
I hope, they suggest with Turkısh sensor suit to their frigate.
I am not sure if it will be an upgrade. The ships is old and has been inoperational for last few years. Given the time and availability of documents (How nicely Nigerian Navy archiving) this will be morelikely a life extension refit. At this stage it makes more sense to buy a new ship than upgrading all those analogue systems and cabling altogether.
