Possible to get a little translation?
“ The tender for the external communication system of MİLGEM (National Ship), an I-Class Frigate exported to the Middle East, was won by ASELSAN. Thus, ÇBSMT marine radios, designed and produced nationally by ASELSAN, will be exported abroad for the first time.

Factory acceptance testing activities of the communication system of the fourth ship and the second ship of the four MİLGEMs to be exported to the Middle East have been successfully completed, and platform integration activities have started.

The external communication systems tender for the OPV Class belonging to the end user in the Middle East was won by ASELSAN, and the external communication systems specially designed for the ship will be provided with ASELSAN ÇBSMT marine radios.”

Per some, the ME country in question is Pakistan and Babur class Corvette and the radios for new Damen built OPVs.

Malaysia to procure 3 MILGEM Corvettes from Turkey!

A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) was presented for the procurement of three corvettes for the warships to be built by STM.

I really hope so, I wonder about the configuration. @Anmdt you know a lot about Indonesia, do you per chance also know about what type of Ada configuration that would suit Malaysia ? :)

Finally signed after all those months. LMS Batch 2 calls for 3+5 ships. Per Malaysian sources, all three ships will be built in Turkey by STM. Per STM’s model and the naval news piece by Özberk, vessels willcome with Korean K-SAM VLS and Korean AA missiles and with Cenk-S.

Korean missiles are more mature I guess so I understand. Cenk-S first time export is a big deal though

No sonar and no aselsan hızır anti torpedo system, there is aselsan compact ares ED system like we see on FAC vessels but no aselsan areas antennas, may be cenk radar will support EW.They do not need ASW.

It will have ASW capabilities, they only describe it with ASUW.

The configuration is very strange to me :) but the price point is surprising. It even includes a little ToT.

Limited ASW, the sonar is high frequency as the ship is oriented for littoral waters (similar to what YTKB equipped with).

Interesting, whats the differences between high and low freq sonar? And Ada do have towed array sonar is that not enough?

Bangladesh?

The "Pre-Shipment Testing and Inspection Procedures" of #BORAN , which will be delivered to an Asian country as the first Howitzer export in the history of the Republic of Turkey, at the Karapınar Firing Range, have been successfully completed.

#MilliGüçMKE 🇹🇷

Yes, and you can already tell BD Army is going to be quite happy.

We have over 500 (29x field Regiments) 105mm and 122mm guns. Very old stuff. Yet we don't have enough money to facilitate a meaningful transition to 155mm SP guns. Each cost 3/4 millions these days. (wheeled ones.) However light towed BORAN costing (probbaly) just under a million, is affordable in large nnumbers. i am almost certain BORAN will be chosen as replacement for our old guns. But when is remain to be seen.

Also, BORAN restored my faith in 105mm. to stop an armor thrust, it may not penetrate MBT armor like 155mm, however with its exceptional accuracy thanks to the digital fire control system, it will likely succeed in mission kill. (Knocking off tracks and turrets electronics)

Ada has medium frequency yakamoz and towed array for Hızır TCMS. I think Malaysian Milgem lacks both and instead equipped with a high frequency, or upper end of medium frequency sonar for shallow waters.

High frequency = efficient in shallow - littoral waters, often small mounts, better resolution ( sensitivity for target echo strength)

Medium frequency = medium range shallow to deep waters - favorable mount size, general use.

Low frequency =long range, deep waters, oceans, open vast spaces. Large mounts.
