Respectfully, it doesnt. Explaining sovereignty of an embassy or consulate is a nightmare for even the most experienced lawyers, let alone not a lawyer me. All I can say, we have no jurisdiction there
Turkish police literally raided the embassy. Police can't raid foreign soil with a Turkish prosecutor in tow.

Thinking about that Indian Navy tanker deal for 5 ships though. First ship was to be delivered in 2025 but we've seen no updates either in Turkey or in India. I believe they were to be built in India. Was the final agreement even signed? This piece from March 2022 says "any day now".

Anyone with knowledge?

The biggest deal in defence was so far the export ships to India worth 2.3 bln € if i'm not mistaken.
Are there any developments on that front? I don't remember any news about it for long time.

Did Pakistan have any objections to this, cuz it doest seem fair to them.
They're combat support vessels.

And I don't think Pakistan is in a position to dictate our dealings with other countries.

They're not dictating anything, it just feels like a backstab to them. Pakistan maintains very aggressive policies towards Turkiye's enemies and fir Turkiye is expected to do the same.

Turkey shutting itself off to India, world's new most populous country doesn't make much sense and I doubt Pakistanis care this much re these tankers. They are mostly to be used with big fleet formations against China anyhow.

As far as I'm aware, the deal is still on and continuing. Maybe some of our fellow Indian members can chime in? @Nilgiri

Last I checked, its in something of deep freeze. There was budgeting pressure brought from covid's 2 years that relegated the project as low priority one for Indian Navy....and other (prioritized) IN ships use the capacity saved at HSL etc.

Relations with Turkiye also did not improve like might have been required for impetus here.

Interim as far as I know, Indian Navy is looking to lease tankers for the requirement rather than build them now.

Regarding Saudi Arabia, let us hear the numbers.

If Baykar is telling the truth, it has to be a massive deal. We're talking hundreds of drones.

And when I hear the MKE numbers and sales from stock, I'm thinking Ukraine.
Which kind of ship was this?

But I wanna be friends with India 🙁

Joking aside, we need to improve our relations with India on every level.
How we even dare to stay aloof with them while EU, France in particular, the pretentious bully of the hood with colonial ambition intact and undeclared enemy of Turkish interests and security, creating strategic partnership and dual alliance with India.
We really can’t afford keeping our distance with India.

Wait until 2040 when India start 'special military operation' in Bangladesh or Nepal.😆

Jokes aside, Turkish-Indian trade relation is great. It already crossed $10 billions annually iirc.

Sadly , the TAF only operate around 13 Akinci and from what I red here it the TAF won’t order more than 24 .

I don’t want to start a political beef , unlike Tb-2 , TAF were forced to buy Akinci for political gains + it will be funny If TAF didn’t procure Akinci after all that PR around it .

KE will follow the same path

Can you link me to somewhere so I can see this forced buying from TAF?

So if the TAF wasn't forced to buy Akinci what were they going to buy instead we have no other drones in the same category?

Forgive me if I misquote you but TurAF will be buying KE as many as it will need and it’s an essential ingredient of a new air power doctrine that TurAF has been contemplating for a while now.
So, KE acquisition of TurAF will be substantial and more than a “PR show”, if it was even ever.

That’s what I was talking about. Tighten the relations on every level. It would’ve been beneficial to both sides.

I can guarantee you, Turkey will have more KE than Kaan when all is said and done. Not because it is better but because despite being highly capable in itself, it will still be more expendable and much cheaper than Kaan. Not to mention drone wingmen doctrine requires much more drones than aircraft itself.

It is said that the UAE has ordered a large amount of missiles.
I wonder what did they actually buy... Our ballistic missile defence is still in development AFAIK. They must have bought a whole load of SRBMs or air defence missiles. Maybe TRGs? I definitely think they bought Kara ATMACAs because of Iran. Radar and early warning systems for all of these are included of course.

My biggest hope is we didn't sell them anything strategic that is permanent like tech transfer of critical stuff. We got those by suffering through great sacrifice.
