Not so sure about the news tho. Apart from the language, when Paramount Group is involved, I don't think they are too above of using op-ed hit pieces. This might just be fluff to change public opinion.

To give credit where it's due, Orda.kz piece did not say "signed" but "is soon to be signed."

It goes on to say that the pilot testing is continuing to finalize the equipment selection, which makes me to believe that they basically started the tender from scratch after the all the stuff about Paramount came about a year or two back.

"Currently, 8×8 armored vehicles of this company, together with a sample of domestic armored vehicles, are undergoing pilot tests, the results of which will be used to determine a suitable sample of equipment according to technical requirements."

I wonder what did they actually buy... Our ballistic missile defence is still in development AFAIK. They must have bought a whole load of SRBMs or air defence missiles. Maybe TRGs? I definitely think they bought Kara ATMACAs because of Iran. Radar and early warning systems for all of these are...

There was news before about Çakır's export to Saudi Arabia.I think Akıncı's deal may include Çakır missiles too.

Where is Tusaş in these agreements, Anka, Aksungur and other products? I think Tusaş executives should be fired from their positions.

I wonder if there is any other nation in the world that is happy that the private sector is winning and getting rich? The same people are always crying foul when Otokar is involved.
